Umm...does Apple give you the ability to resize windows? If they implement a feature, it should work, and at this point, it's barely functional. Resizing Windows has been a "feature" almost since the implementation of the GUI.

I resize Windows all the time. And what comes to mind on OSX is iTunes, Web browsers, instant messages, and especially FINDER.

C'mon, just because you dont resize your windows, doesnt mean the problem doesn't exist.

Yeaaah, I resize my windows a good bit too, and yes its a little laggy comparing to Windows windows . Quartz is to blame on this I'm guessing, but hey, I like the Fast User Switching animation, the Genie affect and all the other little features that makes OS X "cool". Still smile with at those glowing buttons man. . .

But even the guy who made that awesome iTunes skin for WMP9 resizing acted like OS X's windows resizing (StevieBM? iThink?). Alimn's apps lag a bit with the brushed texture.

Unless it locks up my system or causes a great deal of problems with my daily functions I don't think its worth complaining about? Ya know? Apple will fix their redrawing problems.

But will Windows ever fix their major security issues that do cause daily problems?

why the hell are you resizing windows when you could just zoom?

and it's not a problem. It still works. Just not like YOU want it to.

You can only zoom in though right, not out?? I think resizing windows is better than zooming too, zooming distorts the screen resolution and you lose image clarity. But window resizing works the same way in Panther as in Jaguar, so I wonder what you are complaining about?? >.< >.

no. zooming does not actually zoom the content, it stretches the window to how much you need it.

The "maximize" widget in mac OS X does not actually make a window full screen. It is not even called the "maximize" widget. It is called the zoom widget. It simply resizes the window for you to fit the content of what you are doing. So you don't have to manually resize windows.
