In one way or another, all of us, except a choice few, are driven to do what we do by a type of greed. Some of what we do is to achieve material things, recognition, fame, love, etc. but in one way or another it all eventually can point to one lovely five-letter word.

Unfortunatly in society we use currency in exchange for goods. In a utopian society we can have everything for free, but unfortunatly we don't live in a utopian society.
Unfortunatly in the real world the free beer approach does not work. Because in order to do the best job you need to devote more time to something and you can't do that when you are doing another job in order to put a roof over your head and feed yourself and you only have an hour or 2 to do the things which you give away for free.

I believe that computers are headed in a direction far beyond us...
The new processers in development are using dimonds, imagin a crystal / stone that can actually power and move your computer!
New homes being built are not only being networked for computers, but also having hookups so your computer can contrull the power and lighting in your house.
Voice technology has came a long way, and keeps getting closer to perfection. Slowly, i think video game consoles won't be in exsistant once every one learns that computers can do the exact same thing and much more than any console will ever.
We will probaly have robot servants to use the computers for us, and they will make mixed drinks too 
Our hover cars will be able to drive themeselfs, so we can get drunk on the hovercar. We wont have to sobor up for work either, cause the robot servants will do all that for us. Basicaly the future will be the age of perpetual drunkness, with robot livers to replace our human ones.

also i dont see anything particularly wrong with digging up an old thread. Mabie he felt like expersing his opinion, and had he started a new thread you guys woulda said "there is already a thread for this"
the message was in plural, stop digging up old threads, have you seen the other ones he has dug up? i dont see anything particularly wrong with this one either...
