Mobydock Bug Report

When i try to Run this file. Mobydock.exe (version 0.77a )

sudenly a window appear with this info --->can`t find the point of entrance of the procedure MakecriticalSectionGlobal in the library of dynamic bonds KERNEL32.dll <--- and it just Can`t Run at all......

my Pc.

-Video Card 64Mb GeForce nVidea

-WinXp Pro (NON sp1)

-2 Ghz pentium IV

-Direct X 9

i have all the dll needed.

i don`t know if this is a bug or this just happen to me.. but anyway i made everything and nothing...

some help???

I am hazarding a very strong guess that an install of SP1 would solve it, based on other reads on the "MakecriticalSectionGlobal" error message on Google. You may also get away with a reinstall of DX 9.

mmmm maybe..... but i had hacked my shell32.dll with all the iceman`s files and those stuff. i think i can`t install the Sp1 now.

You can, but it will overwrite the hack files, so you'll lose all of your changes.

no way ... there is something WRONG happening with Moby Dock.(but really BIG)... how the Hell can that App have problem with the KERNEL32.dll ?????????????????????( well it is possible if it wasn`t made for windows..... )

I have a small problem, when I drag and drop icons to the dock if I move the icon around I get this empty gaps in the dock, I took a look at the config and I saw this..

That happent when I drag&drop the itunes icon to the dock, I can clean up the config files after I put all my icons there.. but it is kind of a pain

If I try to mount my samba shared drive from my linux server I wont be able to to (the icons don't separate to allow me drop the share drive) after that I am not able to drag&drop anything to the dock until I reboot the computer

Spotted one:

I'm accessing a folder shared from another computer on this network. So, of course, it shows up in the dock. But when I right click the icon to access the files and sub-folders, the dock crashes every time.

When i drag something off the dock, it kind of hangs on my mouse, and i get 100% cpu-load. Then my dock crashes. I am using Win2k with the newest DirectX drivers

I can't get it to stick to desktop, even with Always on Top unchecked. It keeps floating above my apps.

Installed it and everytime I run it, nothing happens.

I can see it running in task manager, but I see nothing on the desktop.

My system is more than capable of running it, just I get nothing.

when u have no docklets, and no open programs, shorcu o lef of divider jumps across!! u cant get rid of it, goes back to rite place when u open programs/add a clock etc.

Using a Matrox G550 at work with the latest drivers (I updated them yesterday to see if they would make the problem go away)...

When I right-click a dock item, the menu box appears blank until I move the mouse pointer into the box, then the choices appear.

Probably a Matrox chipset issue, since it also doesn't support the "Item Blend Features" on the control panel, but thought I'd point it out anyway. It's not a big showstopper, just slows you down a little.

I also notice with this graphics adapter, the dock was kind of choppy until I excluded it from Yz Shadow.

No such problems from my home machine running an nVidia chip set.

As i said in another thread. When i drag things off my dock, they follow my mouse for 5 minuites or something. And MobyDock crashes, and so on. Really annoying when i want something away from the dock

Sometimes power saving mode or a direct9 game with cause problems with MobyDock making it judder and pause severely. This can be made worse by using Alpha-Blended cursors or CursorXP.

I've had a few problems with mobydock and my system startup.

If i set it to the left-hand side of the screen it *will not* be visible after startup. (I have rebooted 10 times and all these times it has been 'hidden'. It sometimes won't be visible if I set it to the bottom aswell. It's occasional though...

When you rename system items like My Computer, it reverts back to My Computer, even if you edit the items.ini file.

I've also experienced the bug where the Dock icon follows the mouse pointer around (leaving a trail). I'm using a GeForce4 with the latest drivers.

havn't worked out why this happens, but the most irritating bug on mobydock is that the taskbar keeps showing up every so often, only way to hide it is to launch the control panel and click accept.

Has anyone gotten this to work with more than one monitor on their system? As soon as I "extend my windows desktop" on to a second monitor, mobydock stops working!

hi,

there are problems running mobydock with specific dual-monitor setups, especially when the second monitor has negativ screen coordinates. i hope to fix this with the little update that is expected at the weekend !
