But yes, threedrives, OS X (10.1) was codenamed "Puma".
I can't bear these wildlife names.
Aqua
Aria
Aero
Avia
Azur
Arma
Ammo
Those are IMO much better names.

Aria sounds cool. It goes with the move towards music industry with iTunes and iPod etc, it's still a 4-letter word similar to Aqua, Luna, Aero, whatever, and it's got a touch of style and arrogance that suit Apple. Love it! ![]()

You remind me of Ford Prefect,
I remind you of an old car?!?
I still think that the next update of OSX should be Caracal, it just rolls off the tongue. kaaaaarr-uhhhhhhhh-kaaaaaaaallllllllll. See. And most likely, everyone would be like "What!?!", because a Caracal is not really known.

Atari might go after apple if Lynx was used. ![]()

OK, these names suggesting that MAC OS going to the x86 platform are getting rediculous. They are lacking ingenuity and intelligence. Face it. Steve Jobs said that MAC will never support the x86 platform. These names are inferior (yes, I said it) to all the previous suggestions and in no way even compare to the earlier posts. I even suggest that most of you didn't even read the previous post and automatically assumed that a great idea like the PC version have already not been stated. Well, it has. Why was this post even brought back if you cannot think of something original?
