Sorry to tell you this but Cheetah and Leopard have already been used. I believe the first public beta was Leopard and the first real relese of Mac OS X 10.0 was Cheetah. I could have the names asigned to the wrong builds but those names have already been used.
As for other cat names.
There is Margay, Occelot, Caracal, Serval, and if Apple really wants to put the fear into the compitition Sabertooth. 
OSX Geek has a nice ring to it...

Puma was 10.1 wasn't it? And the only one that didn't sound naff was 10.4 Leopard and if that's already used then bleh. :dr_evil:

The Puma, Cougar and the Moutain Lion are all the same cat, so if 10.4 was called cougar, they would basically be using Puma again.
