So who wants the task of converting from french into english for us good ole boys? lol Which of our programmer geniuses has the rocks to do it? lol it should be someone who knows french tho lmao....

Anyone with Restorator can easily and quickly translate them.

Just copy the branches with the text (and a few others, like "accelerators) over the according branches in the french files.

Only bummer is that you need to deactivate file protection, because the file will still be recongnized to be french and thus as a different version than the rest.

and would like to comment that this program is a twist for us GUI lovers.

and ironically accepted the fact that i cound not install this program. well perhaps with a Windows Xp pro with no SP1 and a french language is a lost for me. Admiring the most of it has proven my frustration.

For the truth this is the best windows GUI ever.

you just look at the files, see "its french" and stay away?

TRANSLATE them with Restorator. Its will be a matter of a few minutes, and can be easily done within the trial period.

I did it with Iceman's set and now have a german one.

Get http://www.litepc.com/xplite.html and be happy ever after w/o file protection.

Restorator can be downloaded from

http://www.bome.com/Restorator/

and it is explained on the website and in the program help.

You need to replace the resorce branches containing text, plus some others (like "accelerators"). Browse through them and you will see what to replace.

Please mind that the system will still THINK that they are french (or any other language) and will want to replace them with the original files.

You can avoid that by switching off file protection. BE VERY SURE to ONLY REPLACE the CORRECT VERSION of your files.

Restorator is NOT useful for replacing icons, because it will onyl replace the icons in the format that originally is available in the file. For example, if one icon is only available as 16x16 / 4 colours in the shell32.dll, you can only replace it with a 16x16 / 4 colours icon. You can not insert a, let say, 128x128 32-bit - colour icon.

Translating files works like charm, though
