yes, i'm member of this forum

here is few informations about our packs.

Yes, it's for XP sp1.

each are distributed as an .exe file to simplify the installation. the exe contain dll,exe and cpl files whitch have been modified under reshack. The installation program uncompress all the files in a temporary folder and execute a bat file to replace automatically the system files.

If you want to try, you can DL one, and run the exe. First thing to do during the setup, define the temporary folder for uncompress (default : c:\install name_of_the_pack if i well remember). After this, the uncompress operation begin.

when uncompress is complete, the next and last page of the exe will ask you for launching the install or not, with a checkbox (something like "lancer Umicon/Orilla"). Uncheck it and close the setup.

Be carreful ! if you let the checkbox check, replacement will be launch !!

You now have a new folder (the one you define) full of dll,exe,cpl files, 2 bat files, and an "extras" folder which contain wallpapers, visual style,etc...

One of the bat file have is normaly used to launch the replacement during setup (command hide under the checkbox), and the second bat file is for uninstall or debug.

The install bat file make a backup copy of the original system file (in c:\windows\system32\name_of_the_pack folder), rename and copy files.

the uninstall bat file restore the original system file from the backup folder, and let you find back your old shell.

Well, i think it's all for the moment. i'm here for other question.

A last thing... i just want to say that all this work has been released with permission of all the artists concerned. thanks again to them

I'm a ****ie to the scene but I tried to download the SnowEpack with installer and found nothing would allow me to do so. I was wondering if you need to be a member of the host site in order to allow access. If so, could somebody please download the packs and host them? Thanks!

It's working fine for me. Click the floppy icon on this link.

Oh, just be aware that if you decide to install the pack, the language of your XP will change to French. If you have no problems with that, by all means.

I tried downloading by clicking on the disk icon and got a message in French, it looked like it was saying, "you dont belong here" and "keep out" and stuff!!

I don't know. I dont understand why someone with such incredible talent would go to all the trouble of building this incredible program, and not want the recognition for their hard work.

download is not possible probably because you are running norton firewall.

you may disable it just to download the pack.

xoops css don't like norton very much :/

mdenapoli-> no, french language is contain in dll code. If you use our file, your shell will be in french

Sputnikk-> i don't think so. We work on other things, we do not have enough time to release an english version.

We want to be most transparent possible and we wait the authorization of the authors to put the packs on line
