hmm.. I'm beginning to see two paths that might have to fork soon. You have the source which is news worthy in and of itself.. you're the only one in a position now to continue with the bug fixing and pursuit of features that were left only partially implemented. Some might even wish that RKL be feature frozen while moving towards added stability. stability. A reflective dock would be great and maybe RKL's source would serve as a good base for incorporating a reflection framework, or maybe you'll be doing it as you suggested: incorporate this (RKL source) into it (Matonga's proof of concept,) ? but regardless, I invision there'll probably be people excited in both camps. May I suggest you create a project where you work to improve the existing RKLauncher's code (multi monitor support, bugs, etc.) and have a Reflection Build, a branch version forked from the main that begins reflection dev.

Keep them separate though. Bringing over elements, proven, into the other cautiously along the way.

Great, idea though i dont know what RK Launcher was deveoped with (C++ .net? whatever?)

Also, bringing back to coding with C++ and .net today i tried installing the 3.5 .net framework, (i havent installed when it was released a while ago because i am very lazy fellow, but that wont stop me from working on this dock) and it messed up, and now visual studio isnt working. so i uninstalled it and tried reinstalling and it messed up again, and now i cant run it at all, with out the coding software i am unable to do anything to help the dock. Can anyone help me out here?

I suggest you contact Raduking and ask him simply, what dev environment he had going. Next, ask Matonga if he'd be interested in going over the source and tweaking here and there to add better interop with his stacks docklet. He could then give some input and contribute impressions. Your project is going to be big and would really benefit and inspire with leveraging as much of the community as possible, besides, it'd be fun. You know, once the news gets out about RKLauncher's dev being picked back up, under whatever final name results, people will swarm with requests and bug reports. Maybe someone would be interested in joining the project as documentation mgt. for instance: perusing the bug thread(s) and compiling a list of items to address, let the forum rank bugs and you decide the low hanging fruit to begin first, etc.

Regardless of what path we take, we are still going to create a great dock. But i will look into improving RK Launcher.

the dock that this program will emulate is the Leopard dock, the 1.6 version of the Mac OS X dock, so I can suggest a simple name iDock 1.6, for the differents builds you can add other numbers to the name, like iDock 1.6.0.1.
