Y'z Dock 0.2 has just been released....I'm using it right now and it ROCKS!!!
Here's what's new...
- The option of auto-hiding the dock had been added.
- The option to position the dock at the top of the screen has been added.
- The option to change font type,font size,font color and font border color
has been added.
- A puff of smoke now appears when an item is deleted from the dock.

i like the new auto hide feature...makes it kind of like iceman's desktopX dock.
i'm thinking maybe yamaguchi left the autohide out on purpose so people would get used to using their dock, cause i know personally i would never use it if it wasn't sitting there at the bottom of my screen. now i'll remember it's there even if it's hidden. or am i retarded...yeah...i'm retarded.
Yes, now YzDock have the autohide option. And thats great. But it works well? 
and another bad thing... its a lot slower compared with 0.1.1....
what do you mean no way to unhide it? you just move your mouse to the bottom of your screen...
works fine on mine...doesn't seem any slower. it does seem a little off center now though. the left side seems to go further over than the right.
Hmm thats funny because I see no degrade in performance... 
yes timmyeatworld, when I move the mouse to the bottom or top, nothing happend... Very bottom or top... And there is no unhide. I dont know why. And with my machine, yes, I see a (very) performance degrading... Compared with 0.1.1. The icons move (raw say) more slower, dont have the fluid like 0.1.1. May be a need a 2.x+ GHZ processor to view this dock correctly, no?
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know how .2 works on my computer. Basically, I still use .11 because .2 runs way worse. I am reformatting my computer right now, thinking maybe it is just my computer, but who knows. .11 runs perfectly. In .2, the dock like almost freezes when I run the cursor over it and it wont allow me to drag any of the icons off the dock. The menus all run fine, but the magnification sucks. Anyways, I am gonna try and figure out why. Hope someone can figure this out soon because i really look forward to using this. Later. 
Hmmm... I almost feel like the new one runs faster. I've set its priority up to High and it's still a little slow and still a little jerky, but so was the old one. This one seems less jerky. The animation when the dock comes into view is a bit choppy, but once it's there, the magnification seems nearly perfect. I only have a 1GHz Athlon too.
may be Ishould have used the word smooth not slow (I mean slow = crappy movement magnification, no the speed of the program).
And isnt faster... Its just have less magnification process. With 0.1.1 the movement its more smooth and need more resources to display that way.
hmm that's weird.
sorry to hear it runs worse. i only have an 850mhz Athlon, and it's not too bad. if you set the priority higher it works well, but if your running an mp3 player it tends to skip when you move over it.
p.s., anyone know how to make it so the app starts with a higher priority? it's kind of a hassle to set it every time.

WOW! This is the best dock by far. So many updates and bug fixes. Auto-hide, custom font... the list goes on and on...
For those who want to acheive maximum Mac mimicry:
Change the dock's font to 'Lucida Sans'. Yup, not even good ol' Lucida Grande..
On Mr. Y's to-d- list, the trash feature is not there. I thought maybe he has implemented it already. Does anyone know?
well this has some awesome new features.. although i do notice a tad bit in performace in this version..

Well... on my computer it runs very well... i have a 950 Mhz Duron procesor with 256Mb Ram... and it move great... faster than the older one in my opinion... all these new features rock... and.. well i've noted that somtimes when i click too fast over an icon on the dock... it freezes, (not hang) just freeze... if i right click on an icon or over the dock and then do a click out of the dock.. start working as it should do again... but this is a bug i've seen in previous versions... but the issue is... if i freeze it.. an let the dock hide.. it doesn't unhide again... maybe this have something to do with what's happening to timmyeatworld, i'm not sure... but if the dock is not freeze... it hide and unhide very well in anywhere i place it...
btw. in my pc it does a great animation movement when hidding or unhidding.... 
its bugging me now that i see people with Pc specs lower then mine and it runs Beautiful.. i have 2,4ghz 256megs of ram and Geforce4 64meg and it runs choppy.. Not BAD but i notice a difference.. version 0.1 runs soooo nice.. but for somereason not this version.

Ah... Bolero... well i used to have a pc with a similar configutarion.. it was a 2Ghz with a geforce 4.. and etc... but... i decided sell it and buy a notebook for astronomy purpose... something that when my childish part of me comes out i regret.... but what else.... i'm sure this is something that has to do with other programs that in some way boycot yz dock performance.... the graphic card this pc have is somethig not far from being crap... and still runs great and fast.... so i think is not the pc... it has to be something else... 
It could be the drivers, so if you're having problems with the dock you may want to download the newest driver for you gfx card or download some optimization programs.
it does move choppier..
but im still shocked how everything is animated.. autohide and all that..just remarkable.
One thing that puzzles me is that people with relatively "lower" specs claim it run SMOOTH. ...
Its kinda bizzare.. R u guys sure its smooth enough? cause some people enjoy playing 30FPS max payne claiming it runs PERFECT, which isnt compared to a 120FPS one...
but what the hell, its not my point.
I got gf4 64mgs with the latest drivers 40.72 of nvidia, and it doesnt smooth at all..
infact, in my pc, i can allow having a couple of docks running both at the same time - so i was trying the old yz and the new one (each one is in a different side) and the older one was running amazingly smooth while the other one ran choppy. -- 0.2 acted the same when running alone.
i even had like 78% mem available out of 512 RD ram.
--> GREAT appli... literaly an OD fully released. (shh...)
yea goku im not sure.. its so bizare its bugging me now.. i want to use the new dock because of the auto hide but im not using 0.2 because of how ugly the speed is.. im just sticking to 0.1 for now.

Holy Gosh!!! This dock is freakin' awesome! AMAZING!!! It runs A LOT faster than Mobydock in my crappy PII 300. Mr. Yamaguchi, you're the man! I love it!

jesus, i got roughly 6 times faster CPU (p4 is also like 8 times faster bus than p2) and im shocked that you say that 
Maybe it is the code in the processor that is making the dock run slow on some of yalls comps. I have a celeron 700mhz processor and I just tested out the new y'z dock and it runs prefectly and at the same speed of the old one. The people that are having problems do you all have pentiums? and the people that are running it prefectly what kind of processor do you have? Also I like the new auto-hide feature but when you hide it at the top it will not show up if you have a window maximized.
