i care.. i asked..
there are lil things here and there..
but if it's not supposed to be xerox of the os x logon..
then it's not worth the hassel of fixing..
i cant download the file  would anyone please post a link?!
oh, sorry everyone, i've got the file now (all u have to do is to keep trying, lol)
...
i just wanna stress that the not-anti-aliased font happens to me too, and i looked in to tweakui as told, but there wasn't an option from which i could turn it on. secondly, how come there was nothing on the logoff screen, u're suppose to say "mac is loggin u off..." or sth like that. please please make some changes, thx!!
i got tweakui, but i ain't got an option that helps to enable cleartype in the logon screen... help!!! ![]()
Here guys try this it worked for me:
navigate to HKEY_USERS.DEFAULTControl PanelDesktop.
Locate the key FontSmoothingType. Change the value to 2.
Restart your system.
clear type on ![]()
hey, just cant help but wondering, is there gonna be a new version of this logon coming out? cos i notice that when u turn off the computer, the logoff screen uses the same bitmap as the logon one, only without the user pics, shouldn't there be some indication saying "u're computer is being log off or sth like that", cos it looks me to like an unfinished work... i mean, it's without a question one great work here, but there is just a little more to be accomplished, isn't there? :shy:

actually..
that can't be done..
well it can.. but would be difficult to get to look right..
because of limitations in XP.
XP just places text. .over all the bitmaps..
if you notice. the "shutdown" screen is actually the logon screen without the user icons..
it's the same.. but is not as apparent in the original logonui..
it's not an "unfinished" theme. it's just that we can only do so much with what Microsoft gives us..
if you think about it.. the logon screen was never ment to be modified..
well, sorry, i am not criticising the work here. i am a libra - a perfectionist, so i myself demand more than the rest of us do. hehehe... it's just me, not you all, i am always asking for more (and to get my ass kicked). ![]()

obviously the text in the logon screen saying "loading your personal settin'" and all that are very successful (tell me that wasnt bitmap), so why can't there be text in the log off scene?
i know it's difficult, cos it's not me who's doing all the work, but is it simply and genuinely impossible? that's what we need to find out.
last but the not the least, i HAVE to emphasize my tone here, i fxxxxxx like the work, possibly more than anyone else here (Y) :own: i hope a better one will come out soon from the author. keep up the great great work!!! u guys definitely rule, have my bow here!
sorry but i dont know how i can do that with the text. i will check out the original logon from windows next time and look for usefull code. :goku's job:
- assistance is very welcome :ninja:
one of the problems.. it that OS X doesn't display this..
it's a silly windows thing..
we'd have to change the logon screen to look different.. so that we could squeeze the text in somewhere..
isn't it possible to tile bitmaps for these logons? 3MB background is too big but not enough big because this logon doesn't work on my 1600x1200 screen ![]()
ooops. sometimes i forget to use google
i recommend for you too.
http://webpages.charter.net/joolsie/LogonScreens.htm
"Bitmaps
rcbmp(BMP_ID, STRETCHING, TRANSPARENT_COLOR, WIDTH, HEIGHT, SIZE_FLAG, MIRROR)
TRANSPARENT_COLOR: #RRGGBB
STRETCHING: 1 = normal, 3 = tile, 6 = stretch, 7 = 32 bit bitmap"

yes.. it is possible..
the original code from judge has it set to stretch..
i don't think anything in the code it self was changed..
so that's why it's doing that..
it even mis-aligns at 1154x864
it would be very easy to tile a small 16x16 bmp.. and that would save sooo much on file size..
the file stretching is turned on cause on the mac.. the tileing would not work..
as it is not all pin-striped like this theme is..
Hi,
These logins are for LogonXP or are Logonui ?? because if they are logonui i cant put them work, gives me an error on logon and uses the default winxp.
Im using the one by ja450n without problem.
Thanks.
use logon loader from http://www.wincustomize.com
