Adobe CS3

I think that Intel Mac users will reap the most benefits of upgrading. CS3 is now Intel native, and the speed increase is noticeable. I love the new smart filters and the "dockable" palettes, but the rest is not necessary. I still maintain, however, that if you're an Intel Mac user, I'd recommend the upgrade, if for nothing else but the speed increase.

please, tell me, is there any WORTHY reasons to upgrade everything to CS3? i have CS2, but with PSCS3.....whats the benefits of everything else from CS2 to CS3?

No one will know until CS3 actually is released. If you're on an Intel Mac, that's reason alone to upgrade.

it mainly depends on what you use in CS3 and for what reasons. i know some professional designers that use photoshop 7 ^_^

i'm thinking of actually buying cs3 this time around. it's not even worth pirating any more, too much of a hassle :P

There's very little from what I've seen in the beta, apart from speed increases on my Intel iMac, dockable menus (menus that collapse into little icons on the side: very useful) and smart filters (non-destructive filters). I honestly haven't seen much else. Then again, I don't use Vanishing Point, Healing (very much) or curves (very much).

I still have Photoshop 7 on my Windows box and it suits me fine on there.
