Make Vista look like OS X
How about trying to make Vista look like Leopard? If some people can say that Leopard looks like Vista, then it would be easier to copy Leopard than Tiger, will it not?

MY opinion, is that osX IS BETTER looking and more ' clear ' for many hours work.
To make an msstyle , or a theme for vista is not an easy work.
i am working on it from November 2006. i preffer to make my view of osx than to copy/paste elements/images from Leopard(for me Leopard's view is not as i dream) .
' i think' the best looking application that Apple made is i tunes 6 (the old one) and some elements from this i have modified and make my theme view of osx for vista. Unfortunately is not ready but you can see some screenshots on DeviantArt http://zeusosx.deviantart.com/.

Most of the Vista themes you are seeing now are just a variation of Aero. The theme system in Vista is different than XP and some of it is hard-coded, so I don't see any OS X themes anytime soon.This is what I did using WindowBlinds (which runs natively on Vista), and Iconpackager.

The Windowblinds trial last for 60 days, after that it will stop skinning your system and revert to the default. Uninstalling and reinstalling it will *not* reset the limit.Have you had Windowblinds installed before? And yes cracking it is a VERY BAD idea. If you like the product just buy it. It's well worth it.

And I find it funny that for Leopard supposedly being "light-years" ahead of Vista, it still somehow manages to emulate the look, especially with the transparent menu bar.

I think it would work though since most programs store info within the registry, so in theory, cleaning out any related registry settings should reset the program. This is why sometimes people like to use registry cleaners after uninstalling something, to be sure they did a complete uninstall.
why you dont try to make a Vista theme looking like OS X with freeware programs like resource hacker and tiny hexer. it costs nothing and you are doing your own theme.

The trial for WB is limited regardless, and registry cleaners are not going to help. If you want a full functioning product that will give you adjustable transparency, left-side buttons and more flexibility than patching a theme file, then purchasing the full product is the way to go.
