guys the only problem i wanna taken care of is the memory relocation issue ,coz if that is taken care of then i think this mod or for that matter any other shell32.dll that is fully osxised & doesnt cause this prob would be really great .

Pack,
Not trying to bug you...(as you can see, I have't posted anything to this thread until now.)
I was really impressed with the preview, and have patiently waited for any word of the installer release.
It's just that it's been nearly a month, and still no installer.
Again, I'm not trying to be pushy, I was just hoping for some kind of info.
If for whatever reason the installer was not meant-to-be, thats fine.
Or if its still being worked out, but you don't know when, no prob.
I'd just like a little news, good or bad. (as I'm sure others here would too) ![]()
Thanks

I'm waiting for news of the installer, too ![]()
I'm very anxious.
But I'm not being impatient, though...

Did anyone managed to make this pack working on English Windows XP Corporate
Edition with integrated Service Pack1? Because Iceman's system files didn't work for me, when I installed them my system just rebooted at some point of boot, had
to completely reinstall the whole thing... ![]()
is pack dead?
No.. he's very much alive and posting in other threads.
He did say before... to someone else that the best way to deal with requests is to ignore them.
so i don't think you guys would be hearing from him at all.
But seriously, why do you guys want an installer so bad? it'll be the same as replacing it manually. And it's simple.
What i do is create a restore point, replace files in dllcache, open cmd.exe, kill explorer.exe and type go to c:\windows\system32> and type
copy c:\whereveryouextractedthefilesto\*.*
and then restart explorer, use replacer to finish off the job for those "windows is currently using the file" ones.
take 3 minutes tops.
and all you guys would be way happier with pack's system files rather than posting in this thread.
Next week
Will "theman" still think "Pack" is dead?
Has "lonewolf" installed XP over and over again?
Is "LinuxDude" still giving his energy to waiting of Pack's installer, instead working with Linux?
Is the world still turning in 24 hours?
Has Bill Gates become a broke man?
Has someone taken SCO serious?
Will Aquasoft not taken down by Apple?
(Y) You will find out in the next episode of "Aquaxp Sp1 Mod & Info For The Impatient" (Y)
if you want to replace .dll's without having to close explorer... just use this program, it backs up the .dll and makes all the necessary replacements for you. all you have to do is drag and drop.

had that problem with pack's files as well. found out it was user32.dll that was the culprit. so i ditched it, and everything is now fine.

I guess the link is down. Anyone know where I can get?
Removed because posted link has pirated copies and cracks for Trillian Pro.
» No Graphical Material» No Piracy "Warez"
» No Flaming
If the warez are removed, that link won't be modded down anymore.

allow me some questions: i don´t now much about modding dll´s and so on. could u plz try to explane for the people like me why your files (speaking of shell32.dll) needs a re-locationing of memory space? the file size could not be the reason, because a modded shell32.dll by iceman is bigger (15.8 mb) than yours (10.1 mb). could u try to eplain what exactly makes the memory-space-change unavoidable?
just asking because some people might get scared by things like that (including me):

About the Norton pop-up warning: Is this something I need to ignore? Is there a fix without having to do what is suggested?
lynchknot,
The problem is the user32.dll file pack included. I believe that file also cause problem with some autorun on some CD. The problem still continues, at least for me, if you revert to the original. What I did was to install the dll files I know won't cause any problems, the yard stick I used was icemean's files. If any of Pack's dll files is outside of these I don't used them. So far my system is running great.
Hello Everyone wanted too download pack's sp1 mod but link is down anyone know where too find thnx ![]()
