boot Ubuntu while running XP
i'm confused, ubuntu has 4 different text rendering modes, including grayscale smoothing, how can it possibly be worse than xp?

No need to take a screenshot, I have tried all 4 of the rendering modes and it's absolutely horrible. I'd rather prefer Cleartype over Ubuntu's rendering if I was forced to use any other operating system than OS X.

vmware server is not free. To get another virtual machine try http://www.easyvmx.com/
edit: seems it is free, i confused it with the workstation...
actually, i have downloaded VMWare Server from their website, and they gave me free activation keys. does this mean i downloaded the free version and certain features are taken out? i will take a lookie at the link, thanks
umm this is related to ubuntu installation, and i didnt feel like making a new thread, so here goes:
do i have to use a specific type of program to make the ISO disc? or can i use any cd-burning program, and it will boot?
Anything that supports ISO burning can make an ISO disc for you 
. Nero does, of course, and Windows may even support it natively (using Explorer drag-n-drop). I'm a big fan of Deep Burner Free.
