Hi,
I don't know if I have Iceman's acknowledgement, because he didn't answered my mail to him... :-) :-(
But I think it is not a question of permission, more a question of respect!
Or?

I am wondering why hcb has to ask Iceman, but neither Apple nor M$. Please, I cannot state too often, I *DO* think Iceman need be honoured accordingly for his awesome work. I do find it contradictory, however, that it seems to be generally accepted that you have to ask the people holding one of the copyrights (or at least something along the lines of intellectual property, like Iceman in this point) of the files in question but not Apple or M$.
Can Apple's permission be supposed as they have not yet acted against sprerading their icons, as was assumed on one release on kde-look.org?
I find that worth thinking about.
Have fun,
