Everytime i want to try alladin lamp effect, it void a win error... RK Launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close.... etc, sure you know... I dont know why it does it... I think i have DirectX 9... can you help?

make sure that you have the minimize effect set to scale and it is disabled and rk launcher is closed before you paste the effect into the plugins folder
what exactly are you asking? How fast the animation responds?
i meant, if is possible to change time of minimalizing animation of scale effect od alladins lamp effect... i dont think so, but if it is possible... i think it is slow... but maybe it is because of my computer, but imho i dont have so bad pc 
I really think the Aladdin's lamp effect is cool. I weird, i know!!

I hope there is a way to speed the effect up. For me it is still too slow. Well even though when leopard is released I will switch to mac.

Sorry to hijack this thread. However, I am experiencing some problem with the effect.
Every time when I try to minimise a window, any window, with the effect activated, it will pop up an error stating: "Error creating Direct3D Device"
Anyone knows what's wrong?

I get the same error, I figure it's just my laptop's shitty vidcard.. what are your specs, though?
I am using Toshiba R200 Laptop, with intergrated graphic card:
Mobile Intel® 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family version=6.14.10.4267
Still having the problem, which is very strange.
it's not strange because i get the same error running the intel integrated graphics chipset on my laptop.
i would like to know if there's anyone who can get it to work on an intel mobile chipset. not that i really care, because i don't minimize to the dock, since the taskbar is still the most efficient tool for task-switching (and viewing little essential icons in the tray).
I also have an integrated Intel graphics card (same as matt06sg). I used to get that: "Error creating Direct3d Device" also. However, somewhere on this site someone mentioned a way to get it to work. It's called SwiftShader. Here's the link:

The minimize effect now works but it is pretty slow.
whoa.. Swiftshader actually just replaces Direct3d? anyone know of any other "software renderers"?

Download it. There should be a file called "D3....dll" something like that. Copy it into your RKLauncher folder, and it'll work (at least for me.)

You mean the 'd3d9.dll' file, right?
If so, yeah it works for me now, but, yes, it is very slow.

When I minimize a maximized window, there's a transparent box that says "transgaming" in the lower left of the screen, is there another dll that fixes the genie effect with no little box in the corner?
