Wow... you know, At first I just kind of dis-regarded this docklet because I happen to be one of the few people it seems like that still uses the windows taskbar and NOT objectbar. But, now that I have acutally tried this docklet, I realize how excellent it is, even if you use the normal windows taskbar. Thank you so very much, you are truly appriciated in what you do!
Hey Albeik i love your docklet and i was wondering if it would be possible to make it so that the icon would dislpay larger like in this screenshot and if instead of poping up above the docklet it would take center screen. i already replaced the arrow with a copy of the middle part of the skin to make it a little more like the screeny...but yeah just somthing to think about. Thanks for all ur well developed docklets they just keep gettign better and better.

Even though I stopped using yz'dock ever since mobydock0.75 came out. I still play with the new docklets for a while and i gotta say it's totally amazing. (Y)

It's a bug that you will fix, or there are some settings to set these colors (text and item bkg)?

hehe.. thats why I didn't release more skins, b/c of the icon background problem. That background color is currently hardcoded for the default skin, so you can't really do anything about it.
I am currently making the Task Dock a two layer skin. The top layer will be the icons and the bottom layer will be the Dock Skins. The use of two layers will help removed that "gray" area under each icon.
But nice skin! (Y)

It seems that when right-clicking on an individual icon (program/window) in the task docklet (and choosing close)....it doesn't seem to close all programs.
The three that I've noticed so far:
1. Any folder
2. The Task Docklet "Settings" Window
3. A search program I use "AvaFind"
Now I admit it may be my system...but wondering if anyone else notice this.

It is not your system. It's a bug, I forgot to mention that on my release, and I totally forgot about it... Not all windows will be closed using the TDock close command from the menu.
I am researching other methods of "closing" windows. Some windows do not utilize the WM_CLOSE message and ignore it. Destroying Windows, however, seem to always work, but I don't think its the best method.

This docklet has come a long way, you should be very proud of yourself, for putting the time and effort into this. Using the two layer method will definetly have the flexiblity you are asking here. Good suggestion. It will be implemented.

I managed to get the rounded windows using GDI+ and the updateLayer function to add the blending features.
In regards to the Hide-When-Mouse-Is-Away; I'll give that a shot!

I had a couple of requests about making an Alt-Tab application that replaces the windows version. The goal was to make it look like what you have in the screen shot. To be honest, its very easy to do after I figure out how to hook the keyboard keys into windows to capture an ALT+TAB event.
As for the docklet: version 0.21 will have options to change the size/position/skin of the Task Dock which can then be configured to meet your needs, but will probably not be invoked using the Alt+Tab keys.

Here goes:
Since I continually have many windows/programs open at once, the icons in my task dock are always small.
This makes reading the text ( in order to distinguish which window or folder it is )
difficult.
Could a rollover text effect ( show the icons text description ), be implemented in the empty space below the icons to help in these instances.
If its a long URL, wordwrap it to stay within the docklet window.
Here's a screenshot of the real-estate available:
**Note: The text in the screenshot above the task dock only shows the program I am currently using...this disappears as I mouseover my other folders/windows in the docklet.

@ethernet: Funny you say that... b/c the version I have on my PC does exactly what you suggested!! :smartass:
Because I had 2 options on how to do this:
1) shrink the bg to fit the small icons
2) make use of the empty real-estate
i guess with ur suggestion (2) seems to be a better option. It will be included in v0.21.

i dont use yzdock personaly.. but i do have it and got this docklet and i used yzdock that hole day cause i had so much fun with your docklet.. lol good work!
oh and a alt tab switch proggy would be cool to look like the mac os x one!

Yeah, neither can I - sorry to sound like a ****ie, but could someone clearly explain exactly what to do to get this to work correctly? Which key combination or mouse buttons should I press to make this appear above the dock once I've added its icon to the dock? Does it only work if the dock is at the bottom of the screen?

I had the same left click problem. I fgured out that it was because I renamed the dll, and it apperently did not like that one bit. If you did rename the folder or anything, change it back and that should help. If that is not it, then I dont know what to tell you except that maybe you arent using the newest version of Y'z. I believe you need .80 or newer.
To the other guy, there is a readme in the folder, which says that it will only work with yz at the bottom of the screen. Just left click the icon for the docklet and it will display the pop up menu

The task docklet works fine for me on the right side of the window. It looks better without the start/taskbar aswell, pm me if anyone wants my "taskbarhide/taskbarshow" programs.
