Firefox 2.0 - Skin compatibility
anyway for now the hacked Safire in fine for me
there arent any major glitches or problems
of course using a 1.5 theme on FF 2.0 has a few differneces from using it on 1.5( very minor glitches, hardly noticable)
however it isn't as bad as this
they look weird, tabs are screwed up, and the navigation bar/search bars get screwed up..
1337Lime is right. I've just installed Joseph Young's Cold theme. the only unskinned bit was the searchbar, which has been made larger in 2.0 methinks. I fixed that by pasting the relevant images and the css file from the updated Muku theme into the Cold skin folder. Looks really good now.
I guess everyone has to try if their fave skin is working after hacking the install file. Well worth giving a shot!
Take care all.
Yes i forgot to add in
Un-skinned parts that look bad can be tweaked around by editing the Userchrome.css files
(or stylish)
anyway i'm using well-rounded(skinning the search bar only since skinning the address bar screws up the Safire theme) and searchbar auto-sizer extension,
maybe thats why my search bar looks fine
i daresay some extensions that skin a small part of FF can be used to "coverup" the (badly/un)-skinned parts
I miss my Grapple (Classic Pro) theme, I can use Grapple (Eos) but I don't like the way it looks ![]()
is there a plugin that makes your bookmark to work with rss feed like in safari ... i mean in mozilla you can put a rss feed in bookmark ... but in safar it shows you the unread link`s in right of the link
