[release] Panther ObjectBar By Pete Ross

Hi all!

Great theme...thank you very much (Y) (Y) (Y)

But I've got some problems with this:

- when i start a program e.g. internet explorer, an icon appears in the systray covering a systray icon :blink:

- the original systray icons blink or tremble every 15 seconds :blink:

can anybody help me to use this wonderful theme without getting nervous :shy:

Great theme, peteross. Couple things tho:

A) Where is the list of running applications in the Finder menu? I can't switch between them like I can in your Jaguar theme.

Why change the "expand system tray" icon? I liked that Ethernet symbol, what's up with the plus sign?

Kurt i moved the running apps list from under the finder menu to under the window menu. i just thought it looked better there.

and the expand icon. well i wanted to use the ethernet symbol for what it was. i added an ethernet menu associated with that icon. plus i wanted to use something different for a change.

Lol, thanks for pointing that out. And you're welcome Is there anyway we can change it back to the ethernet icon? One more thing: When are we gonna see your Smooth Stripes and Brushed OB themes?

yeah you can change it back pretty easy. download this attachment and place the files in the skins directory then reload the bar.

as for Smooth Stripes regular Smooth Stripes has been done for quite a while. I still need to update my old Smooth Stripes Gloss. I kinda started a Brushed 3 theme but i doubt if i finish it because there isnt a VS to match. I did do KoL's iTunes got permission for it but i forgot to release Ill try and release the Smooth Stripes (not Gloss) and iTunes OB in a few days. I also started work on a SS Pearl ObjectBar but its far from done at this point. After that im taking a serious break from making themes for a while but not too long.

i never released it but i do have permission to. the gloss bar is old i havent updated it in months. once i updated ill release.

Damn I cant believe there is still demand for this version of the theme. Its quite old.

Ive updated a bunch since then, mainly giving it a font overhaul with crni's fonts and getting rid of some of the useless crap. It also runs alot smoother than before. I havent used it recently so let me look it over and see if I can find a host.

**UPDATE 01-02-2004**

Package includes Panther ObjectBar and necessary fonts.

Special thanks again to Sputnikk for hosting.

Changelog - Complete font overhaul. The bar is almost all text based so it runs alot smoother than the original. I also trimmed down the bar a bit and got rid of some unnecessary files menus items. This is probably the last release unless I add a graphite version.
