[release] Panther ObjectBar By Pete Ross

Aqua 10.3 ObjectBar by Pete Ross

Package includes Panther ObjectBar and xAbout picture.

Special thanks my testers and to Sputnikk for hosting.

I crammed just about all i could into this bar. I tried to apply everything from every Panther screenshot that i could. If i wasnt rushing to release this i would have included the right-click menu too. Enjoy.

**UPDATE 03-24-2004**

Changelog - Rebuilt the bar with some new resources. Changed around the tray icons a little bit. Other minor fixes also.

**UPDATE 01-02-2004**

Package includes Panther ObjectBar and necessary fonts.

Special thanks again to Sputnikk for hosting.

Changelog - Complete font overhaul. The bar is almost all text based so it runs alot smoother than the original. I also trimmed down the bar a bit and got rid of some unnecessary files menus items. This is probably the last release unless I add a graphite version.

peteross, perhaps a badge?

#37716

Goku loves his badges. It makes him feel like the mayor of Aqua-Town.

What ever happened to the Contest idea? Never panned out?

Greetings,

Somehow I didn't set the OB correctly, hence, always got some problems when running Pete's theme as the scroll down arrow in applications menu never comes out Scroll_Down

I did search the forum but failed to dig out any clue on how to fix my OB (or even WinXP).

Any clue on how to fix my bugs is highly appreciated :own:

Dear r43475,

My solution is not verry efficient but works. Group your entries in your Start Menu/Programs into more categories, eg.: Office, Utils, Antivir, DTP, Games, etc.

#37788

was going to say yhr same thing condence for fprogram short cuts to name folders

IS

all burning apps in 1 folder

all modding tools in 1 folers really helps clean up the start panel

XanthraX and DarkVageta,

Thank you guys for the clue on how to get around the scroll down issue I bumped into on my WinXP.

Somehow, I just found some OB themes (please, I have lots of respect to Pete and there is no offending here. All I want is just applying Pete's OB theme to my WinXP and getting it works without glitch) are able to display the scroll down option scroll-down-2

Guess my WinXP screws me up somewhere so some OB themes do display scroll down while others don't :(

Best,

@jumpers: Guess I misled you by posting a screenshot that might not show my problem precisely. Here is another one that tries to explain the scroll down arrow, which I failed to enable on Pete's theme scroll-down-3

Thanks anyway :own:

DarkVageta,

The problem I have on my WinXP/OB is that it never shows scroll-down arrow when I apply Pete's theme :(

I do believe the problems are caused by my settings on WinXP/OB though I have no idea on how to fix my WinXP/OB to get Pete's theme working :(

No matter how, Pete's work always admires me that's for sure.

Best

Which font should I use so the toolbar tags display correctly, I think the font looks too thin.

Thanks in advance.

#38031

ch008 the font is lucida sans unicode on the toolbar. about it looking too thin i agree with you it does. only problem is if i would have changed the font settings anymore it would have ruined the text. the main problem is that there isnt a font that replicates the osx one exactly. lucida sans unicode comes close but without anti-aliasing its off. bitmaps on the toolbar would be the best option but im not a big fan of them. this is one of the things im not happy with.

I had to activate the cleartype option, i used the standard setting, not cleartype. Anyways it looks better now and it is a great objectbar theme.

Keep up the good work.
