Its coming to that time of the year where the site gets updated in some what, and I wanted to hear from the community on some things we could do here to help improve the site and community.
Any type of suggestion is welcome, please be detailed too if its something not easily understandable (like a new feature of some sort).

I want the Thank You mod back. And once vB 3.6 is installed, turn on Reputation (or Karma or whatever it's called)
User profile tags. I forgot exactly what they're called, but they go above the avatar and below the username, in the postbit area. It's custom defined, and I think limited to five words.

I know that there is a website i frequent called FacepunchStudios.com, and thier forums have a feature called "Smartness" and it's a little number that increases or decreases if you use correct grammar, spelling, etc.
Also, the ability to rate a release thread would be nice, a little image, 1-5 or 10.

From the top of my head:
Keyboard navigation.
If yahoo's web mail can capture Ctrl+Shift+N to compose new mail, this board should be able to capture:
Ctrl+Shift+Up: Go from current thread to parent forum or from current subforum to upper
Ctrl+Shift+F: popup the search feature
Ctrl+Shift+H: toggle between fx/nofx mode (fx for broadband, nofx for dial-up friendly)
Better find results.
You search the board and actually find something thats mentioned only once in a thread 20 pages long. Guess what? You can't jump to the exact position. You give up looking on page 5 and use google with site:aqua-soft instead.
Member blogs.
Imagine each member has a blog in form of a thread that only himself/herself can add to.
This no-forum thread would be attached to the members profile, maybe limited in size so that older entries vanish some day. Good ole FIFO principle. Get rid of the sigs in exchange.
Location awareness.
Imagine you are at home and on broadband and you see all fx and avatars and sigs etc.
Then, you are at work and just want to sneak at the boards and post a line or two in your break without causing too much traffic on your bosses expense. What are your options? Have two accounts? Better let the board calculate a checksum of your apparent location, store it in the cookie and thus allow for different sub-configurations.
Darkness matters.
Being on aqua all the time is nice and dandy, but please offer a jetblack or black-marble theme that translates to reverse video in no-fx mode. The later it gets, the less you can take dark text on a light background.

Is such a thing that herd suggested possible though?

Keyboard navigation sounds awesome. If you don't mind hacking it in, you can use the HTML . It's already for there Post Quick Reply/Submit (Alt. + S), and Go Advanced (Alt. + X)--I find it invaluable!
