Before I install this "Power Toy":
1. what if any bad side effects does the app have?
2. does it make permanant changes to the system?
3. Is there a bunch of small apps to install, one for each thing you want to tweek?
I have heard some bad things about power toys is why I ask.
1. No, the alt+tab replacement is just a .exe that intercepts alt+tab and replaces it. You can kill it and the regular alt+tab will come back.
2. Nope, going with what I said above.
3. There are other power toys depending on what you want. But there aren't that many. This one is just one installer though.
The minuses on it are because of how 2d windows works it doesn't do minimized windows. it makes the system slower to respond in alt+tab.

i believe the alt tab power toy
takes the bitmap assigned to the top of the start panel.. in what ever MSStyle you are using.. and uses it for the top and bottom (for the bottom, it flips it..)
I think that the task docklet for Y'z should just be moddified to look like that.

This thing looks fantastic! Any more comments on the level of system integration it will have?
Maybe you could just make it smaller, so it uses the default icons for the application. Windows users aren't priveleged enough to get high res icons for our programs anyways. Would this cut back on memory usage too?

is it using the windows powertoy? the windows basic alt tab or is it a diff app entirely?
