Yee i think too, maybe 13 is too small to work, i use 19lcd and now goes to 13...hmm
Untill you use 13.3" don't bash it.... 12" was prefectly usable and if you think these kinds of machines are workhorses you're missing their point.
All in all, nice updates but the integrated gfx is still a minus in my eyes.
For me its just more than a good price.

honestly, I think they're kinda ugly. The look of the keyboard makes the laptop look like a cheap calculator. I'm getting a macbook pro and I usually like apple products, but I really think they screwed up in terms of keyboard design.
I bought mine this afternoon...settin it up now... finally making the switch...
I have concerns about the keyboard... I know that Apple wouldn't use this new keyboard if it didn't work well, but it I were to use it everyday I'd still prefer heavier keys, they look too light... I'll have to try it out at the Apple Store sometime soon.
One of the main reasons I want to get a MacBook Pro is the keyboard the MBP has.

plus, i don't really like it. it seems like a too...well, novice user machine. don't ask why i think that. i'm not even sure 
the black one reminds me of my brothers old g3 powerbook.... which was black...
So is the MacBook good for gaming?
The MacBook is a perfect student laptop. Benchmarks show it readily performs almost as well as the Pro model with the exception of video editing and gaming. If you program, run statistical software, write papers, do iLife, and use Photoshop, there's no reason the MacBook isn't enough. As soon as you mention games, however, it's MBP all the way. I am still torn between programming and graphics design/photography. I love playing with cameras and prints (I just got my EPSON R2400 today). I'm probably getting a stock 17in MacBook Pro just so I can take it back after 14 days if it whines.
I am amazed at how EASY it is to upgrade the MB. Three (?) screws and you can change both RAM slots and your HD. Nice...

I like the new one but I miss the ATI video card ( I am currently using a Compaq laptop with a ATi Radeon 9200 Mobility - 32Mb and it works great but come on not Intel Graphics !!!) and I think they could put 1Go Ram because it;'s the minimum now !Finally, I do not like the black color, let's go with the white one !!

It's a great looking machine, but I'm with Menge. The lack of a proper graphics card is a good enough reason not to buy it.
Yea.. I was getting excited, til I figured out about the 64mb integrated graphics... it just lost all its value...
let me ask the one important question... what are you going to be doing on a 13" screen that requires alot of video processing power?!
this laptop is being marketed (and thus designed for) students and a "take along with you" computer. since when has any mac, other than the most recent MBP, been about high end gaming?!
64mb video is adaquate for anything not requiring 30 fps mean...
Exactly my point towards those whining about Onboard Graphics in MacBook....
Intel Graphics chipset has evolved a lot over last couple of years... in fact the current 950GMA chipset is pretty much better over their previous chips... and how much intesive graphics you would push on 13" screen. If you ask me, if I wudn't mind buying Macbook if at all I cudn't get my hands on MBP.... I can take it anywhere in my backpack without feeling weight (I use 14" iBook currently), on my photography assignments.

I was talking to a coworker who is one of our most respected software architects (at a very well known defense contractor to be unmentioned) who was checking out my macbook that I brought in yesterday. He's on his way to pick up one today. He said the same thing about how it would have be nice to have a seperate video card, thereby not shared memory, but like we both said... integrated is sufficient for 2d graphics and rendering. the only problem that would arise would be in 3d processing but again, on a base model laptop with a 13" screen... riiiiight...
I plan to install photoshop as soon as I can to try it out... I only have CS tho, so I may borrow a friends copy of CS2 who is selling his powerbook... its obviously not mactel optimized but that wont be for some time... will report soon

What you guys are referring to is shared memory vs dedicated memory.
Whether the chipset is an Intel, ATI or nVidia, they are all integrated into the MB, i.e., not upgradeable or removable.
The Intel GMA 950 has 8MB of dedicated memory and then uses system ram for the rest of it's work.
And the GMA 950 chipset will do 3d rendering.
Yes it will do 3d rendering, but very, very poorly. Some people have tested it with games (yes, games), and it's completely useless for gaming. I know it's not designed for games, but some power would be nice.
