Needs OS9 installed, because you can't resize an active partition (duh).

I just have to say... 32-bit has been with us ever sience Intel came out with the 80386, and I'm guessing well see a change in 5 to 10 years. 64-bit seems awesome but really what are the big advantages to having 1% of all the pocessors on 5% to 10% of the world computers! 64-bit computers may be awesome but on the Macintosh so far the only apps that can run on it is Mac OS X jaquar! I think 32-bit was off to a good start, DOS already ran on the 386s and Windows 2.x was made for it and the 286. Versions of NT and OS/2 were only available for 32-bit, because it really featured power... I guess its not a good comparison but look at it this way...

The Mac is NOT built to be a speed deamon! Thus, Why recomplile your apps if there is no REAL reason, 64-bit is backward compatible, PLUS 2 Ghz is still faster that 800 Mhz

@H4rm: You can boot your computer w/ the OEM Mac OS X CD or Mac OS 9.X CD and double click in the "utilites" folder, in there is a partitioning program (I think its called drive setup". From there you can costomize your partitions... From there format them and continue on your way, I am almost positive you can install Mac OS X (Jaqaur and Panther) on 2 partitions... Then when you restart your computer you can hold down the "SHIFT" key and you will get goot options (Like what drive you want to boot from)... OR use the Startup disk option in System Prefs Hope this helps!
