No need dude. Once it's finished, I'll provide a link for all you guys to download the album. Why would I make my friends pay for it? :)

no man, we want to support you. Why don't you let us download one song or something, and then if we like it, im sure we'd gladly help out a struggling artist. I know how it is, people need to eat (and not mow lawns).

Lol, true. I'll think about it. It really depends on what others think. I was going to set up a page on my artist website where people could buy the album through PayPal or something. Good idea? Bad idea?

GodPunk, your initial design where the red stripe is in the middle, is simply the best

its stands out and grabs your attention a lot better than if it was sideways. Being right means you're on top of everyone else. You need to stand out, and not from the side imho.

the designs for the text ender did rule.

Godpunk, right on - I say keep it the way it was. Its sweet.

Besides, it might get covered up by the price sticker ;) or some people's oily/other sticky hands traces.

btw, i think the current situation is 600 are right and 400 are wrong :harp:

Damn it Cere, you took my comment.

I'm glad you liked the font design godpunk ;) Now I have fallen in love with your avatar  Please don't change it in a while like the others during this days

I would be more than happy if I could buy a copy of your work. Many of my friends have bands and I know how important is to get supported when you begin a new project... and BTW, if your friends don't buy your record, who will? ;)

Oh, I forgot, I rather the new design of the cover (I mean the non centered red stick one) because this way the image express imperfection (the red stick is not in the center) and matches better with the style of the font, which also follow this "accidental" look.

Placing the red stick in a "random" position means that a none specific one (the one in the "best" position) is right among 1000 wrongs, that is, you have a more popular cover :canadian:

HIS MANY ADORING FANS!

I thought we were supporting the lone rebel?

#34180

LOL@contrasutra. Sure he will have maby adoring fans, but I was talking about the begining of a project like the one godpunk has began. As he said:

Besides that, just the cost of blank CD's, jewel cases, CD labels, and paper for the cover- all of which I should be able to earn back by selling copies of the CD

Why do you always say the last word? ;)

#34181

OK, good news- I got cubase fixed! But now for some reason I have to record my guitar into Sound Studio first, then import that file into Cubase- Cubase is cranking up the volume when it records, so it sounds like crap. :P

Anyways, this means that I'm recording as we speak. That also means there just might be an mp3 link in this thread later tonight...;)

What if you moved the red line one accross to the left, so that it isn't the last one but is one over to the left, and put it somewhere (edit:// I see you have) in the lower right corner of the cd case.

Just an idea.

#34185

Ok, no mp3 tonight.

1. Cubase is giving me even more headache.

2. I am very very drunk!

I'll keep you posted.
