No more osx?!?

Won't happen, but they have already dropped Darwin due to the fears that the open source will be used to crack OSX to run on any hardware. (Not that it isn't already, but releasing code themselves will just make it easier).

Darwin is still alive and strong.

Apple cannot drop Darwin unless they plan on dropping BSD from their commercial OS.

Not gonna happen... so.

Releasing Darwin source code is one of many requirements they must continue to fulfill under the usage terms for the opensource code they incorporate into OS X.

I love how people make up something and post it as fact. Darwin isn't going anywhere in near future.

thats just weird and perverted....just seems a little wrong to me....but right in the sense that windows would make the mac look like bsh**t in luna

i wonder if xp could run the mac emulation stuff at the correct speed or if it would slow down with animations

I agree with the lot of you. Talk about BS.

The very worst Apple might POSSIBLY do is MERGE with M$ and make them a bit more fair. And kick their asses. And etc.

In other words, Mac OS X for us with PCs.

With M$ underlings here and there to cope with the various hardware configs and drivers and stuff.

But the core OS? MAC.

Yeah, I'm saying the worst is WinMac, primed on Apple's OS (including pretty graphics and better at not crashing) but with some Windows under the hood to keep it flexible where necessary.

imagine the power of them merging forces and doing it right. The biggest baddest OS ever. And we'd ALL be able to use it.

no, macs wouldnt really be worth the extra $$$ if it wasnt for OSX and iLife.

it wont happen. Apple is letting windows run on its machines; but its not the beginning of the end... apple made it very clear that they would never support windows (only allow it) or let OSX run on normal PC hardware.

I think bootcamp is brilliant, but i dont think i'll be using windows more than OSX (no way) but it is still nice to have.
