Report MOBYDOCK V0.65 BUGS here

One word: SLOW.  I appreciate Moby's work but this thing is SLOW.  Even on the lowest quality setting, it's still EXTREMELY choppy.  Is it actually faster for anyone?  The original MobyDock was waaaaaaaaaaaaay faster on my machine.

It seems to get slow after a few minutes of running on my PIII 800MHz box. It also stops responding to mouse clicks after a while as well.

Some nice features added to this version though.

Mobydock stops working after a long while. It still magnifies but clicking on the icons wont open anything. and clickin on the icons repeatedly makes them disappear... but not a big problem. just have to restart the program.  By: HearshotKidDisaster

I have experienced this same problem. Moby runs great, but then randomly it stops responding to clicking of icons. Restart of program fixes it.

Siddharth about that multiple png poof effect it has been added to that v0.4 of Y'z Dock and there is also a jaguar multi-poof cloud

Yeah thanks...I got that, but I like the way the way the icons smoothly shift back into place as you drag an item off the mobydock...if you notice, in the Y'z Dock the motion is very abrupt as though something's been 'torn' off the dock....hope mr. y gets a fix for it in the next release...

I just finished installing version 0.65 and this is what I found: the last five icons are shown cutted by half when I rollover them, I tried changing icons size, and all the rest options but nothing seems to fix it. Everything else works well, hey wait.... its freeze, ooops...nothing is functioning....errr, well I love this toy so I hope you can resolve the bugs.

hi,

this is a known bug. it seems to me that mobydock has problems with e.g. y'z shadow or windowFX shadows ! if you use one of these programs try to add mobydock to the exclude-list of this program.

hope this helps,

moby

Is there any way to specify a "working" folder? My eample is I set up folder with ShortPopUp.exe to open a submenu of folders, however, when I drag a shortcut to ShortPopUp to the dock it opens the items in the MobyDock folder - not the ShortPopUp folder. Any way to specify where I want an app to operate from? This works fine in Y'z and Objectdock.

If the icons exceed the original size of the dock, which they do when they zoom, the icon's on the 'outside' of the dock are cut off. Alot slower on my crappy puter.
