[help] how did this guy get a sidebar like that for explorer?
um that really helps:/....you mean open the screenie or the file that makes the title bit there?
GhostLin said it was a secret... however we could all buy this http://www.text-reader.com/explorerbar/ left bar and then make bars. It is expensive, 100USdls but we will be able to put flash or html code into it which makes it more customizable than the available Finderbar. Plus, flash animations will look great and become even better than the real Finder.
There's a nice 30 day trial, and you can make your own bar and share it here, although only for 30 dyas.

a secret!....thats helpful to a community as big as ours....that program doesn't seem that promising to me 
basically, you take the screenshot, save it as an image, then open it with Photoshop and take the 'finder bar' and the x off the screenshot.

yer a peice of fake lol....i wonder if there is a system hack where you can change the colour used for the background behind the text 'finderbar and the 'x' only....if there is all you need is a white x and text there and which would disappear in front of a white background....ive got a white x button there and white 'finderbar text there as well so all that needs to be done is to make the background of the little titlebar white.....does anyone know how to do this using a system file hack or something?
There is no system hack to change the background of a sidebar's titlebar. This is because explorer uses it's toolbar background as the image for this background also. Use a theme with white toolbars (not very practical) and this is the background you'll get. The screenshot uses a shellstyle, not finderbar, and that's practically a guarantee. It maybe that the user has coded a new finderbar that attaches to windows in a different way, but that's unlikely, or coded an operational shellstyle, which is perfectly possible. One option, if you are determined to make the barfit in with a vs, is to use a shellstyle like stefanka's inspiratse one, colour the bitmap used to be exactly the same colour as the bottom of your window frame, and then hide common tasks. That way, whils the toolbar area will look thicker, there will bean even line at the top of the window. This won't work for toolbars that use gradients obviously.
I'll try to release a good shellstyle alternativefor the finderbar this week once I iron out a few problems, but it won't have the functionality of Kabal's effort.
its not a matter of price its a matter of if it can actually be done....i wonder if theres a way to find out where the background of the sidebar titlebar is and isolate it and recode it to use a normal colour as a background using reshacker
