I think I'll just start a new thread for the next release, since it seems to be a decently complete skin. I found ichat emoticons and sounds, and got permission for the service icons.
I'm not sure why the link went bad, but I'll fix that, too. 
May i ask for support for tabbed chat windows?
very few skins support them properly and i'm i really don't wanna use the default one
I really like the theme but there are some display issues.
- The font size is huge, not like your preview
- On the message window I'm getting hot pink blocks in the top right
- why does my buddy list say "stilist" at the top? Shouldn't it say MY username?
- The message window won't let me expand the bottom input box beyond 1 line
- The Emoticons don't work at all, I can't get the menu to show up
- When I try to grab-drag the buddy list window, I end up hitting some hidden file menus
- How do you get the buddy icons to show up like in the preview? I'm not showing any

- font size issues are due to the fact that I'm using a different DPI, and forgot to change all of the settings
- hot pink blocks are the locations of the `now typing' and secureim images; the off-state images aren't set up correctly
- it says stilist because it's manually coded. to change that, go into the preferences.xml file and change the line noted (I believe it's 13)
- you can't expand the input box because of how it's coded. I can set this back up if people want it
- emotions are not included in the newest release
- clicking on the blue orb, the `available' text, the square, or the `buddy list' text all bring up a menu. anywhere else will allow dragging
- buddy icons must be enabled first: right-click in the buddy list > view > icon view > small
Really, the answers for nearly all of these problems were either in the thread or in the included `about this skin' file. I wrote that file for a reason, and it shouldn't take more than a moment or two to read. I know you're terribly busy, but it's not that long.

in danimators skin and most other trillian skins the user name can be changed from within the interface under "my identity information"
and is this skin just your own artistic take? or are you trying to emulate what ichat streamlined would look like on a mac? because i dont think ive ever seen a blue orb in any mac program
I'll have to check danimator's code to see if I can get the name-change to work. For the most part I've avoided his skin, either because I already have a feature working, or because I don't like his code. If he's done something that I can't get, though, I do check--for example, the stripes behind the buddy list.
As for the blue orb, I've not yet been able to make that change colour with the actual user status, and decided it would match the skin to make it blue. If I can figure out a way (again, maybe from danimator's skin) to make it actually reflect the current status, I'll definitely change it to the real version.
As with any skin, there are hacks and `least-bad' choices implemented. An example would be the way the scrollbar shadows cut off sharply. At the moment, that's the best setup I can do. If I put in the entire shadow, the grabby part will end up about 10px from the place it should be. I may have figured out a way to get round this, though; it seems that scrollbar elements have a z-order opposite of the order in which they're laid down. This means that if I put the scroll-down button in the skin first, it'll be the uppermost element (which is how it's currently done). I've been hesitant to try any other setup because I would have to put in the grabby section first--that would mean either some interesting code re-organisation or a lot of extra code.

I've just come across an archive (on therealduckie) that has all the interface elements from Panther. I'll be making use of the slim scrollbars and some other things from it.
For those wanting the next release, I hope to have it ready by Sunday, maybe sooner if I can work out some problems I'm dealing with.
what might also be nice is to just ask danimator to convert his skin to streamline. id do it myself if i knew how to do it
By streamline, I assume you're referring to the iTunes 5 style? I wouldn't be bothered in the least if he were to make such a release. Even if he did, I'd keep on working at my skin, because I feel it's better (of course, I'm making it... 
). My code is cleaner, and it's completely original (rather than a mod of somebody else's code from around v1). I'm also obsessed with filesize, and I'm proud of the fact that right now, my entire skin is about 230k unzipped--that includes all images, code, and sounds.
If he made such a release, I'm willing to bet he'd get far more downloads than I, as I'm not very well known. But that's just how things go, and it doesn't worry me.

No worries, I didn't take it as discouraging or anything.
By the way, I think I may be ready for the next release tomorrow. The only thing I can think of that's left is converting the scrollbars. I made the one for the buddy list into the slim bottom-based one, but I have to convert the one used in the other windows to be bottom-based.
I'm afraid I won't have Unbe's containers done for this one, but I'll make a point of working on those for the next release. I'm also going to try to get the alerts to work for the next time round. I'm rather frustrated with those at the moment; I'm fairly certain I've got all the necessary code, but I can't get them to show up. They'll be included with the release, but they probably won't function for anybody.
I'll also be starting a new thread, since I'm actually releasing and not just previewing now.
