If someone could make me 2 icons for the tray:

one when the effect is activated, and one when it's not :)

also a 128x128 icon for the prog itself, this way there will be no problem with dock or what so ever :)

thank in advance !

#27082

Greetings,

Not quite sure if anyone has problems in running this program with ObjectDock (all the icons or PNG images on the OD just disappear after running iBlend), WindowFX2, FreeShade, and Rainlendar!?

Regards,

David

You can't transperize a titlebar seperate from a window in a visual style or WB skin in XP\2k because the way transparency is done is a whole window is put into transparency overlay. Windows such as eruocalc, the docks, desktopx\samurize use seperate transaprent borderless window classes to achieve independent transparent objects.

I've heard you can do it if you make a new theming program that does things the EFX way rather than the Visual Style\WB way. Which would mean you have tranparent borderle window around the window. But how stable\fast that would be is up in the air.

#27212

Nice app! It is so cool!

BTW, my jBox has built in transparency so you can choose who will take the transparency. Thanks! :who's your daddy:

#27230

Hi folks,

i'm currently writing the config parser so you will be able to configure it as you wish, here is a sample:

iBlend.cfg:

# program properties

start_hiden=true # (true/false) goes directly to tray and don't show the main window

effect_on_start=true # (true/false) activate the effect on start

blend_level=220 # 0 .. 255 (transparent .. opaque)

# exclusion list, put either a filename, a class name or a titlebar caption

# to find a class name, use the spy program in the .zip

# ex:

# filename=C:\somepath\someprog.exe

# class=SomeClass

# titlebar=Some Title

titlebar=Program Manager # DesktopX desktop

smoke, for the titlebar thing, your idea is great and deserve to be investigated, but the thing is if iBlend disable a window's border and add it's own, i dunno about the speed fact, but I repeat, your idea is very smart and i'll take a look and let you know :)

Holly -

that is just GREAT!!

this if far better than what i thought it would be and its like barely 0.2

You've done an amazing job! Please keep it up siwu.

Expect a developer badge soon sometime.

#27452

Hmm, It works great, except it doesn't work with samurize. And also it does not do good with Y'z Dock (Even if I open it after the thing is running). Other than that it is awesome!

Also, how do we use the "Titlebar Captions"?

#27455

Wow, it works great. Now this is sweet.

Keep on Rockin' :own:

#27461

Kind of oblivious on how to exclude applications from iblend.

Yz dock still does problems, but is ok if i load it after iBlend.

#27463

Same here Goku.

I tried adding different Classes (Like "YzDockClass")

Anyway I can't wait for filename support. That will be very nice!

Yeah - browsing and chosing what you want to exclude is the best and most common used method.

I also think that once this program is loaded, EVERYTHING should br binded to it, and then the file exclusion comes in so it can hit windows only.

So far so good - i can see how this app going to rock the walls :boob_shake:

this option exclude a window by its title (caption), for example if you want to exclude let's say a window named "SomeWin".

hope this will help :)

well lol yes..

if you didnt know, any inactive window in the OSX desaturates and goes semi trasnparent in the title bar.

This app is the begining of what we've been waiting for for so long. So having complete transparent inactive windows - is a good start.

this is just an early release 0.2 - I do have a lot of suggestions and add ons to it, but its doing pretty much a nice job already. We'll be looking forward to future releases on that thing so we can finally have an ultimate transparent inactive windows.

Thats all alilm :D

thank you siwu

:staffs here:

#27548

I can't believe my eyes!! Keep coming that developer badge Goku!!

#27549

Remember it's not even a preview, it was just to test.

There are things that have to be done with this effect, the main are the Z-order issue (you know, you see the titlebar but the window in hiden) and the active/inactive one (when you work in the app, the titlebar goes inactive because there are 2 differents apps)

if thoses things are fixed, maybe a future version of iBlend can have this engine :)

in the mean time there is a lot of work to do like filename exclusion. If I find the right function, it's a matter of minutes to be implemented and released :)

#27581

okay that is some amazing work i cant wait to see the new engine in the future..

greeeatt work
