What's Your Favourite Movie?

hm. many of tom hank's movies are my favorite. i loved cast away, but now i'm really bored with it. my 2005 winner is the island, because of many moral topics that it brings out, like the example of " people laughing at the "cool funny video" gave me a big perspective on some painful yet seemingly funny videos that i love to watch on AFV. we are quite horrifying sometimes

i Robot, finding nemo, and lord of the rings series, also get my vote. however, it's harder and harder to find good movies because of their $$$ brain.

@ Kaloyster - City of God is pretty cool, sad that the country is violent like that one of the reasons why I left =(, BUT everything happens for a reason, if I didn't move to U.S I wouldn't be typing this right now =D

also gotta watch The Butterfly Effect, the freakiest movie, but very very cool and well made

lord of the rings series - must watch

last samurai was pretty damn good, watched it a lotta times

these are in the top of my head, i like all sortas war movies as well...Black Hawk Down..etc

edit - oh yea denzels movies are good, like my fav Man On Fire, The Manchurian Candidate is up there

bourne supremacy was cool too, lots of action

There are many favourites, but one thats worth mentioning is "Koyanisqatsi"
Pretty amazing, a film without actors, lines, story and yet it just gets you sitting there staring @ the screen in amezement.

It's 'cuz of the soundtrack--Philip Glass rocks .

Waco: The Rules of Engagement - about Waco, texas (Branch Davidians)

The Weather Underground - about the US weather underground infrastructural terrorist group

Fear and Loathing in Gonzovision - about Hunter S. Thompson, filmed 1978 I think. His ashes got shot out of a canon a few days ago.

Scratch - about the history of dj/turntablism

edit: just want to ad Trinity and Beyond, just because the artillery delivered nuke is so ridiculously interesting.
