Well, you could always blackmail them, unless they already have the goods on you. Personally, I've got 3 kids and enough garbage on them that they could never blackmail without it ruining their lives...I remember being a kid, and I've prepared that my kids will be just as insane.

Seriously, earn the laptop yourself...why burden your parents with your wants when they're too busy already providing for your needs? Think about it like this: You could go to work and provide enough income for your entire family to eat, pay the mortage, throw cash to the electric company and have the IRS steal from you then maybe your parents would be a little more willing to buy you your laptop because you've freed up their busy schedule. <_<
