I am personally a fan of Sony so I personally think that a black PS2 and a black PS3 is the best bet.
However I must admit that Xbox360 (ugly name) looks much better than plain xbox.
@Derelikt it's hard to judge a console because of the lack of a certain game when you can't predict what will come out in the future. Maybe the PS3 will have something that will definately be better than Halo. It is also illogical to judge future game console with current games because Halo will definately become outdated soon, same as any other existing games. You can't release 16 GTAs and you can't release 32 Halos, the public will get fed up much earlier and the game world will move on to something else. I personally think that the future tendency is to include as much freedom as possible because it seems to be more and more demanding. Current users want to be able to do more and to do it their way.

Second... have you ever tired to use OS X with 128 MB of memory??? Beyond useless.
And the CPU Speed would be somewhere in the range of 150MHz to 200MHz if, and this is a big if, nothing else is running.
And waiting 20 to 30 minutes for the system to even start up, and then another 3 to 5 minutes between mouse clicks... what's the point?
I also happened to noticed in the screen shot they were nice enough to cover up the CPU info.
And a 10 hour install, with nothing but a base install package!!!!!
The longest it's ever taken to install OS X on PearPC for me was 6 hours and that's because I was dumb enough to do a standard install. And that was on a 1.13GHz laptop with 1GB of ram.
If it is late, go to sleep. If it is early, enjoy a day outside. This install varies on the time required to completion, but will generally take around 10 hours.
So to your point yes, it can be installed, but it would be useless.
As one famous person said " It's not whether you can or can't do something, the point is to stop and ask yourself if you should. And are the results going to be worth the effort put forth to accomplish the task?" In this case... I think not.

Everyone knows that running OS X in this manner is not even worth the effort it took to install.
Yeah I know, installing something like that is much more of a novelty than an actual thing you might use (but it's possible..!).

wow it just seems to me that about 50% of people here has a personal vendetta against MS. I mean ya looks are important but dont forget you can customize this system and for the people that want aluminum, would you want to pay 50 $ more prob not and you'd prob. end of complaining about it. As far Sony is concerned sure the cell is supposed to be faster, better, whatever but who knows if its even completed yet, all the XBOX 360 parts are here now and it will be released soon and I gotta say those wireless controllers kicks ass

We just need to wait for the launch titles and hope it's not another Dreamcast fluke.
The games drives the hardware platform. Remember that. Most likly Ill buy all three to play the games I want to play.

After reading all that about the new xbox and the new playstation, I like the look of the XBox...
I mean, it would make a pretty good computer if you upgraded the Hard drive, and the PS3 uses BD-ROM, which holds like 20GB on a disk...

just like idicula said, people here seem to have a real big think against microsoft. and yeah, for the record, developers will reach xbox360's graphical peak faster because of XNA, a big key to the next-generation and one that neither PS3 nor Revolution has.

I have none of this consoles... new ones neither old ones.. but I always loved the styling of Sony ones.. PS2 was one of great looking console, and even though PS3 looks bit heavy and thick compared to it's predecessor, it doesn't look a bit shabby... XBOX, the first one looked good in pictures, but when I saw it in store it really sucked... and XboX360, though I haven't seen in real.. I didn't liked much in pictures either.

First thing im do when I get my 360 is open it up and spray paint it carpaint black and make the led's red
hm. never thought about painting my consoles. maybe i should. but how are you going to mod the leds? it's not like you can just pry open the led lens and replace with some plastic colored replacement bulb .
its not as pimp as the ps3, but i dont think ill wait another year to get a new console. plus im lovin the controller.
Yeah the one cool thing about the xbox 360 is the interchangeable faceplates, you know because everyone wants their xbox 360 to be an individual
