So about a week ago, I was curious and decided to run a performance test; I disabled my theme and dock and did a reboot; my boot time shrunk by about 15 secs....a bit excited I did a bit more trimming of other programs and I got my boot (from the time i press the power button until I open 'My Computer' AND it responds), down to about 40 secs.

So I'm back to basic windows (not even luna enabled), I've done some color changing to match my wall paper (although VERY slight), but I'm enjoying over 600 MB of HD space recovered, and about 70 MB of RAM usage returned (about 35MB being used for theme-ing stuff).

So here's what I've got, and I really like the clean and simplistic look of it all. My functionality hasn't dropped a bit as I have short cut keys on my keyboard to do all that I had on my dock before.

it's still different as I noticed a boot speed difference between having luna enabled, or using just the classic. I'm not knocking others for doing it, just sharing the difference, and showing that windows can still look good w/o luna with a little effort (at least I think it looks good)
