I wanted to do something very different to the usual 3D and detailed icons you see. I wanted to do something very 2D in fact and very 'iconic' and simple that stood out with a minimum of colours. The reason for the name of this set is that years ago i was a huge fan of the 'Wipeout' series of games and i loved how effective the 2d graphics of the signs and pilot insignia were. So this is my spin on some 2D icons.... Full applications set coming this Spring.
Any comments, suggestions welcome!

edit: when i say full set, i mean, folders, drives, trash bins...the works! that's my suggestion. my comment: awesome!

Looks very promising. I would love to use them...
One thing i would like to point out though... such a different theme (yes, i am aware they share Smoothicons style, but not quite) needs a complete system replacement set, otherwise, people will not use it because of lack of consistency... just an opinion. If you need to know a set of things to be covered when doing this icons, just ask us

Congrats! I'm loving the WMP icon (even though I hate the program 
). I would only ask that the Excel icon have the round dots instead of lines but that is entirely up to you. Good luck with a system set (if you chose to go that route).
Seph: thats a good point. Getting similar feedback from other sites wanting a full set. I'll have to get doodling and come up with something simialr for hardware etc. Thanks for feedback guys!

Red33mer; haha don't worry I'd far rather people were actively interested than not post at all! It will be a full system set now so isn't ready yet. Work is very hectic at the moment so if i'm realistic late April for a full release. Keep an eye on my scraps in DeviantArt for works in progress. Thanks!

Been very busy with real work but here is another preview of first system icons. Still a long way to go but getting there. Feedback would be much appreciated so I know i'm going in right direction.

Ok i'm 85% done... finding some of the system icons a bit tricky to get as unique as the rest but nearly there. A quick question for you all... do you prefer PNG files at 192x192 or 128x128? There will be 128 size ICOs too.
If you're offering 128 icos, please put them in a separate pack. They're so big they become a pain to download

Sorry this taking so long guys and girls but it real life is getting in the way. Just to keep you updated i've had feedback from a few friends and i'm going to add quite a few more apps to the set and do a few tweaks before release. It will be at least a week yet and probably more.
