I've been using AveDesk 1.1 and SysStats for couple months now. All of a sudden today my weather desklet stopped showing the weather. I tried to update it but nothing. I know the XML feed is working because I also use a weather docklet in Y'z Dock and it's showing the weather fine. What could this be?
I second that! I'm using AveDesk v1.1 and SysStats v2.0.3 and my weather stopped working today as well. The same configs work using AveDesk v1.2 and SysStats v2.5.2.
Oh well... guess we're forced to upgrade.
But what would cause it to stop working? It's pulling the info from the weather channel and that I don't think has changed?

Do the new versions of Weather, AveDesk and SysStats work?
Maybe someone should check the format of the XML feed to see if anything has changed?
So do we have to upg to Avedesk 1.2 to get this to start working again?
I was using the Weather docklet from the Objectdock area of Wincustomize with Avedesk 1.2 and it stopped working yesterday also, but my Yz docklet still works and that's really old now.
I just removed the old docklet from Avedesk and downloaded Systats 2.5.2 and loaded the scrolling weather config. It's at least showing weather, but not the same as if I go to weather.com's web page....are the xml page and the "normal" weather page usually out of sync?
Yeah my Y'z dock weather is also still working. But I think it uses the same XML feed so I don't know why Weather for SysStats stopped. All the tags in the XML file match the selectors in the weather configuration so I don't understand what is causing the problem. I can't remember what version the XML feed was when it was working. I did notice there is a "version 2.0" near the top of the feed. Could that of changed?
I went and installed AveDesk 1.2 and SysStats 2.5. It all works now. I'm still using the old weather config file but it works. Maybe I'll give the new weather a try.
I also have trouble getting weather to work again. Was traveling for a few weeks and since I got back yesterday, no weather info is displayed anymore. No matter what I do, I cant seem to get it to work. Tried to (re)install AveDesk 1.1 and 1.2 with SysStats 203 and/or 252 without any luck. Help is much appreciated!

I am not sure about that. You can paste the web site from weather/configure into your browser anf it gets all the info. At least it looks like it. Something else is hosed up!
May as well throw my lot in here too... using old versions of AveDesk and Sysstats (probably 1.1 and 2.something, I'm not at home right now to check) and my weather hasn't been working for a couple days... unsure why. I haven't taken the time yet to try installing new versions or different weather widgets, though.

This is indeed very strange. As I said before, I just installed AveDesk 1.2 and SysStats 2.5 and all is good now but I still want to find out what caused it not to show up in AveDesk 1.1 and SysStats 2.0.3.
Do any of you guys use the timezoneabulator config too? I'm just wondering if weather.com has barred your IP addresses.

But like others...Avedesk 1.2 Systats 2.5.2 and aeroweather are woring fine...really strange since I wasn't using the older Systats weather docklet before, the one that quit working was the old Objectdock one....and like I said, my old, old Yzdock weather docklet still works too.
Did some more testing and things get even more strange. I installed Avedesk12 and SysStats 252 on a VMware instance from scratch and it works fine even with the old sysstst weather docklets.
I will try to completely "clean" my system from Avedesk and SysStsts and will try again from scartch. It appears that some settings and locations are "remembered" (???) and I suspect that I may have a bad config file somewhere.
GURUS PLEASE ... HELP US... this is really driving me crazy...i tried different things before posting, since i hate lazy poeple asking stup** things...
i dont know... hyral , judge someone please help us... my objectbar config stopped working, my config also.. hyrals configs too... and others... just not to mention a list of every weather config available out there...

Maybe the font got deleted somehow. Have you checked to see if the Futura font is still installed ? If I turn off my network, it usually shows the "%s" for any weather docklet after it fails to connect. But till now I have never seen the name of a font appear on any of the weather docklets I have used
No...it wasn't a font issue....at least for me. The desklet would show the "transparent" Sun icon with "NA" on it and the label would say "Weather Information unavailable" in the proper font.
Updated to sysstats 2.5.3 and Avedesk 1.2, grabbed the new weather config posted here (same one as screenshot in the first post of this thread) and it's working for me again. I used to have an older config that just showed today's weather, and that was what used to be broke.

Thanks but this did not work for me. I deleted all my /program files/avedesk directories, etc. and reinstalled avedesk12 and sysststs 253 from scratch. Added the new weather docklet. No luck. Still screwd up.
Avedesk itself seems to work fine but it looks like when I install sysststs, things get screwed up.
I have tried all I know but I am at the end. Hopefully someone can figure out what is going on.
deleting, reinstalling , didnt work for me ... i had to install konfabulator again to have a weather config.. HOW SAD GOD!! (im not saying that konf is bad.. or its widgets) but having only one option is sad..
and nobody does anything...
