Isn't that copyright violation and plagiarism on Apple's part. Max Rudberg should seriously sue them, and force them to stop using that GUI, and make the court give them a cease or dessist order, like they gave to Jef. Damn, Apple is a hypocritical company, however their products are the best.

i disagree, the old aqua of os 10.1 is so so, however the JAGUAR aqua is the best, but these buttons or the embedded trafic light buttons are horrible IMO.

look at my sig - thats AQUA... poo that iMovie looking buttons.. they should have replaced the iMovie buttons, not the itunes/Quicktime buttons..

Gladly, i still have the metallizer - ill reskin iTunes to the GOOD way unlike the "iFix" rudberg started, and that is like if*** for me.

Ok.. if you want to revert to the old outdated, fugly aqua look , just follow these steps:

1) Right-click iTunes4 and select show package contents.

2) Go to Resources

3) Replace 'iTunes.rsrc' with the one from iTunes3.

Enjoy the old look!!

Why would they follow such thing? Max is a respected skinner, however apple has a lot better design scense, a fact that max only ported and modified and god damnit thats it..

See, people can tell me to skin my itunes so i can calm down, but whats buggin me is that apple's natural skin (current design) is the DEFAULT one.. thats sad.

I dunno.. I like the Jaguar (i.e. flat, more water, less gel) look better. And the iTunes buttons fit in perfectly..

But then again.. its a personal preference for everyone. e.g. some people like Brushed. I don't. I think its an 'extreme' design, and you can't keep it your theme for too long before it starts to get 'in your face'..

Wow, thats a change! Goku, its not going to be aqua forever. I did like the aqua, jelly look also, but its always good to have a nice change. Its not that bad though. Your just used to the old button look. It actually fits in and goes nicely with the metallic, steel look. The whole application kind of looks like a hunk of titanium or something metal sitting on the desktop.

I like it!! I say thumbs up Apple for changing your look a bit.

Can't believe I forgot to add this before..

But when I was mentioning brushed metal, I forgot to mention that FINALLY brushed metal looks half-decent because of the new buttons. Jelly and metal just dont match...

well i disagree.

I think that the AQUA (since when its gel?) and the metal goes almost as good as the aqua theme itself.

Check out the blue aqua progress bar on a brushed metal window. Its just so clean. It really looks like a box with a lab tube containing this shiny blue aqua liquid (or gel in "our" case). Instead, they flattend it, and made it look still good, but a lot worse than before.

Its one of those "touch" buttons.. - like comon - why?

Besides, it doesnt look as REAL as the aqua buttons. Changing beaufitul interface like this will just end up like microsoft, who is famous to never have an exact pattern of design.

I'm truly sorry they have done such a thing. It should be a choice from now on.

I'm also not saying this thing looks bad. It does look nice, but IMHO not in a comparison to the glowing aqua buttons (note, they were improved since 10.1).

By the way, i already sent comments and suggestion to apple - I asked them to add a choice to bring back the REAL aqua buttons.

you dont get the point dont you?

its not like max should sue them, regardless of the fact they had or didnt have a contract.

Its a shame they change a button here and there almost in every update. Its even shocking they choose to immitate someone's "iFIX" which for me, with all the respect, is iRuin, iHack (of course if people like it, let them decide)..

Besides, the embedded buttons .. are just horribly bad. ACTUALLY IN THIS CASE, Max's embedded buttons are A LOT BETTER looking (even though i dont like the idea itself).

I'm changing back to the itunes look - replacing the resource folder with the itunes3 resource folder (thanks taha).
