Trash bin problem is that you need Trash bin on the Desktop otherwise it doesn't work and shows your error. At least it was this way for me.
RK Launcher 0.3 - BUG REPORTS
altenatively you can use Tweak UI, which hides the recycle bin from the desktop (without disabling it)
Get Tweak UI from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...ppowertoys.mspx
Trash bin problem is that you need Trash bin on the Desktop otherwise it doesn't work and shows your error. At least it was this way for me.
Instead of deleting the recycle bin icon from the desktop, hide it instead and you will be fine.
If you are using the XP style start menu
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerHideDesktopIconsN
ewStartPanel
if working with the classic menu:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerHideDesktopIconsC
lassicStartMenu
Inside, Make new DWORD-Value with the name "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}" & 'Modify' Value "1"
That will just hide the Recycle bin icon,
If a Dock is installed, by this procedure the 'Recycle bin' Docklet won't be anyhow affected as by some other Tweaks.
To restore the desktop icon again, just 'Modify' the same DWORD-Value to "0"
You can also do a "Start/Run gpedit.msc" go to the "User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Desktop" and change "Remove Recycle Bin icon from desktop" to "enabled".....no need for mucking with the registry
Can anyone help me out? After installing FireFox v1.5b, FireFox doesn't minimize to RK anymore, but to windows taskbar. Used FireFox v1.06 previously, no problem with that version.

Firefox 1.5b is only a pre-alpha. Use the last official version of Firefox. ![]()
you know that b in 1.5b stands for BETA not pre-alpha. Firefox 1.5 is scheduled to be released in the next two months. So this is a valid bug report.

But i think this is a firefox problem, not a RKlauncher problem..
But i think this is a firefox problem, not a RKlauncher problem
this is of course very possible
But I think it's just a side effect of the new gecko version of Firefox 1.5. Wether this is an actual bug, who knows...
But I have noticed that with a couple of other programs but can't remember which those were, since I had to turn off the minimize to the dock because it caused other severe problems on my side (I'm gonna file a bug report, once we are allowed to for the nightlys).

I think the same. ![]()

I think its more likely the way the minimising is implemented in RK launcher. I have been using nightly builds of firefox for about 6 months now. The browser could be released tommorrow its certainly fast and stable enough.
Maybe he could borrow some coding ideas from objectdock as that has no problems minimizing 1.5
Hi
This version (3) keeps crashing when I add the yzdock startmenu docklet. When I open again, all changes I made are lost.
Cheers
Amber
works in the last availlable nightly for me
This has been plaging me for sometime. When RKLauncher is loaded and I start FreeRAM XP, RK crashes everytime. However, if FreeRAM is loaded prior to RK then there is no problem. I've attached the error file.

No problem using OD Startmenu docklet; however, I'm using latest build.
Please keep this thread on topic. This thread is for RkLauncher bugs ONLY.
Not for discussing FreeRam and other 3rd Party apps. If you want to discuss this program, please open a new thread in Windows Software sub-forum.
the latest beta does not work with firefox 1.5 beta. dont know if rklauncher will have problems with it when it officially is realiesed but if it does , that would be a huge problem for someone like me cause i rely on the dock as my taskbar.
and please no more bugs for nightly builds![]()
...and we already know that FF1.5 BETA doesn't work with the latest RK nightly... its has was discussed only a few posts up :slant:
who sorry guys i must of missed it.
In Fable - Lost Chapter you can see an ugly "bleed through" when RKlauncher is running (regardless wether it is always showing or on "automatically hide"). So this might be a problem with 3D games in general but as I don't play much, I can't say...
(sorry if this was reported before)
I would like to have a search field in the "Custom Icon" Panel, because I usually put a lot of png files into the same folder, and the simple browse isn't quite enough. A search field located on the upper left corner of the "Choose an icon" window seems to be reasonable and more aqua-ish.If the search function has a spotlight-like effect(just like the search in the AveIconBook) would be perfect.
I don't know if it is possible(AndreasV would give the permission and help to port his code, and raduking would have extra free hours to implement this other than the most anticipated "genie effect".)
I think your post belongs in the feature request thread.
