I've redone my major abstract wallpapers into special edition wallpapers. Featured are Grapear, Stramato, and Kaki Iki. Grapear's distorted nature hypnotizes you. The center is attracting, while it gradually fades towards you. The perspective is eluding, beware. Stramato features a completely redone Gourge. Texture has been emphasized while still obtaining it's silky texture. Highlights and shadows create form and feel. Kaki Iki features a smoother flame with more contrasting embers.

Ransom works very simply. There is a ransom. These desktop pictures are not available for download until the ransom is paid. You can pay me via PayPal [you do not need to sign up]. Ransom can be payed in small fractions from different people, or all at once from an eager viewer. Once the ransom is paid, the pack is available for download to the public. The motive for ransom is so I can generate some spare money to pay for the resources I use during my work. People who contribute to the ransom for this pack will receive two exclusive Beyoncé + iPod wallpapers, never released. I'm doing this to see how much/if people like my work.

I rather like this idea, though im unshure weither it will work or not. People are rediciliously greedy, even in trivial amounts like 50c. Who knows you might end up seeing your walls on a warez site

I do release walls and i wouldnt if i was not to give them out freely (ie. community) 2. cause not everyone has access to paypal (ie me) 3. cause ill bust a cap on yo knee foo'

FYI, you don't need a Paypal account to donate to one. You merely need a Visa card, or MasterCard logo card, or a bank account...

I feel very strongly about this matter. You are asking us the community to donate money to you for work you have already done - unasked by anyone. This would be the same community that includes the likes of Ave, Herd, Raduking, bzeitler, crni... etc. etc.. (no offence if your not listed, only used to illustrate a point) people who have worked / slaved for days/months to produce top quality apps then asked people to donate if they feel their work warrants a nominal cash donation.

I'm not belittling your wallpapers - I'm sure they are fantastic, but at the same time would you be willing to give me $10 for my icons? What? you havn't seen them, never mind hand over the cash it'll all be alright. Its just I really don't understand the logic of creating some art only to charge people to see it.

The correct way to approach this would have been to share your walls and ask people nicely to donate towards your 'running costs' - I'm positive you would have a more favourable response and could have even amassaed more than the $10 ransom fee.

i really need a Mac mini but you don`t see me charging for whatever i`m doing for the community :slant:

also charging for themes/icons/walls will ruin the community in the "customizing community" and will turn it into a market. people do this cause they like it, not cause they`re here to make money.

and don`t forget those who came before you, gave much, much more than you ever have (and probably will) and never got/asked for a dime. you wouldn`t be able to do what ur doing now if it wasn`t for them and their pioneering work.

unfortunately, I'm with Unbe and Seph on this matter I think it would be fair enough if you could at least show the pack to the crowd (even through a few screenies) so people could have an idea abou the pack before paying for it.

I still think the best way to get some cash is to release the work first, put a linky to your Paypal, if people like it they will donate for sure, but it is only my personal thought, it's up to you man. Good luck
