Photoshop Background Removal...

On mac as you guys know PS doesnt have a background, and the windows are just floating there, so you can see the dekstop and everythin thats under them,,, Is there already a program out there the remove the background on windows or atleast make it transparent? Cause I already started making my own modification for photoshop, and just wanted to know if theres something out there already, cause if there is there's no point in me continuing to work on it...

Well here's where I'm at right now... All i've been able to do right now is make the bg transparent... but i still need to do something about the photoshot window so the images will be separate from it... also look at the objectbar,,, see how it says photoshop and not adobe photoshop... just a lil mod i made for myself ^.^

Facist,

I must say that having photoshop with a transparent background really sucks! One wrong click and your back to the desktop...it can be very annoying (well at least on a mac).

I on the contrary find it more useful, because that way you can see much more stuff, but on windows ps is filling up the entire desktop, and makes you switch back and forth between windows...

I couldn't agree more. Keep going with this. It will be an awesome mod. Terrific work so far.

Thanks, hopefully I can figure out some way to finish it, because lots of people are saying that its impossible to do that... I'll just need to find some good developer which is fimiliar with photoshop's system files.

Thats awseom, good luck finishing it :)

Hey, i see you got a full OSX-like look on your screens, can you please point me where i can get the Windows Blinds(as i can see) theme and object bar theme?

Thanks

I like to see this! But exist a big difference between the interface of Windows and MacOS (7-10). In Windows an application has the application window (or parent window) and the opened file of this application has their own window (named child window). In MacOS only the file has its own window, the parent window doesn't exist, is replaced by the application menubar.

Personally, I guess it is verry hard to impossible to mimic this behaviour.

Sometime ago i found a shell extension, which exactly does that... Search for "shell" and the background thing you may find it also... Cause i dont got it anymore... (It was kind a shell package with much more other functions like a doubleclick on the programs titlebar shrinks the window and u only see the titlebar of the window... Sorry, my HD crashed some time ago, so i dont have the files anymore ;-(

BUT IT IS OUT THERE IN THE WEB ;-)

Yes, I realize that that theres no main window on mac, and thats exactly what I'm trying to accomplish in the end... but just for now thats all i've been able to do...

Any latest preview works?

Any latest preview works?

As as said before, I have like no time to work on it, so dont know when its gonna be done...

Sorry, I must have skipped some posts.

Just question:

I heard and tried the ObjectBar and it doesn't work well with Photoshop.

What will happen to the menu if you make your Photoshop main window transparent?

If set menu to ObjectBar, it will not work. It's a known bugs by Stardock.

There's many issue between Adobe Photoshop and Stardock products I have heard and experienced.
