Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Garageband, iMovie, iDVD, they all work smoothly on the Mac mini. The mini is more or less like a powerbook, except for the graphics card. So expect a very good performance. I am very pleased with mine.512MB only, and very smooth. Tiger rocks, man! 
Im running photoshop cs on my 1.42 GHz G4 mini... and its fine. I currently only have 256mb of ram in it, but soon to be buying a lot more. But none the less it works fine for me
