[Release] iTunes Skin Manager - DEMO

iTunes Skin Manager - DEMO RELEASED!

Due an overwhelming amount of requests for a DEMO version of iTunes Skin Manager, I have decided to release one. This demo version is cripple-ware and simply allows a user to preview iTunes Skin Manager. Most of the features are disabled and/or limited. Again, this Demo version of iTunes Skin Manager is just that, a DEMONSTRATION. If you would like a full-featured version, please purchase iTunes Skin Manager at http://www.runasoft.net/iTunes/purchase.htm .

Disabled Features:

1. Program Configuration

2. Addition of Skin Folder

3. Minimize to System Tray and Show System Tray Icon

4. Startup with Windows

5. Update Checking

6. File Association Integration. Double Clicking a skin file would normally automatically apply it to iTunes. This functionality is disable in the Demo version.

Limited Features:

1. There will be a purchase nag screen that cannot be closed for 10 seconds each time iTunes Skin Manager is loaded up.

2. Only the first 2 skins in the default skin folder will be shown.

3. A 10 second delay is implemented when Applying or Restoring a skin.

4. There will be a purchase nag screen displayed for 10 seconds each time iTunes Skin Manager is closed.

As you can see, I have taken out most of the functionality of iTunes Skin Manager to allow a user to simply see how iTunes Skin Manager works and that it does actually work.

There will be no limitation on what kind of skin you can apply. In other words, you can download any available skin and apply it with this Demo version. There is also no Time Limit on how long you can use this DEMO version.

You can download the DEMO version below

mabie you could have made it not skin a few buttons, so the skins look realy ugly, ie like skin the minimiase and close, but not maximise, or skin foward, play but not back.

Very smart of you do disable features. This helps prevent cracks. Smart move man. I think this is very smart. :D

#255062

Yeah... just remove the functions... don't just disable them... :)

Yeup, the DEMO is an actual reprogram of iTunes Skin Manager. So, there are no functions behind the MessageBoxes :)

There is really no way to crack the program to make it perform like the original or a way around it's limitations

ummm i installed it, said i didn't have the new version since I use 4.5 and uninstalled it, now iTunes doesn't even open :(

#255362

I just installed the new version and it still flickers like crazy, i can't even click on it or make it stop flickering. Evolution!!! HELP!!

I fixed it, I guess you can't have the sidekick plug-in, which is ok

#255376

What exactly was the error ??

Sorry, all is working like a charm.

It was only my stupidity which make me believe it wasn't working...

The error I have at the end of the skinning process is :

Run-time error '70' : Permission denied

But after this, iTunes is skinned and multiplugin still work :D

Good job !

This is a great thing, and a wonderful program, but I have one question about a feature that you say is removed from the demo:

"4. Startup with Windows"

Does the skin manager have to run alongside iTunes in order to skin it?

EDIT: Never mind, I already figured out that it doesn't. That feature just confused me a little.

hehe ;) most people ask this question.. totally understandable.. I just give the option to run at startup because some people like myself like to change skins often.
