floopy disk will always be useful just like the vhs format tape. hehehe
[question] Do you still use your floppy drive?
my floppy drive died 3 or 4 years ago. I chucked it in the trash and never looked back.
Really, I didn't need it since I started the Win XP beta test.
I only ever used the floppy for Win 98 boot disks to fdisk and reformat and noithing else.
I have a zip drive in my machine too, but once I got a decent hard drive and a cd burner, i stopped using that too, but it's still there, just in case.
yes i do ![]()
also i have an old p120, which i use d to test my win98 dll mods on.
i now use it for old dos games XP won't run ![]()
What's a floppy drive? Oohhh yeah... those ancient things ![]()
My PowerBook doesn't have one (who needs it!?) so no.
Took mine out and posted it to my dad - yes he is still stuck in the 90s. The very next day needed a file that I only had archived on a floppy - doh! Still a quick trip to the local dump and I ripped a floppy out of a discarded PC... did the job and not used it since.

ah, the dump, there are so many useful things in there. You wouldn't believe it. I went in once, just once, cuz i was bored as were my friends. God damn, 17 inch crt moniter with a broken moniter cable still attached (the moniter itself was fine). I found a hot 1970's skateboard and a crapload of other goodies. Good days. ![]()
