When I'm making a moderation or administrative note on a topic, I do it to differentiate from the rest of the posts, and to indicate that I'm in "mod mode", rather than just posting normally.

If you're interested, it's an idea that DeadZombie introduced back in the days when I first became a moderator on TwistedCPU (before I was staff here), which I liked a lot, and have continued to use (and advocate the use of) ever since.

I just feel it makes it clearer when I'm admining/modding, and when I'm not. Your mileage may vary.

i don't dislike the new spotlight button , i like it but i prefer the bule version , it was more interesting.

OK, I like the actual Spotlight icon, but not the way they have slapped it straight onto the glossy menu bar, the mix of gloss and gradients just don't work, the same for the new apple icon.

In terms of the new 'Mail' interface, I absolutly adore it! Eventhough I think it wastes uneccessary space, I love the buttons and I love the gradiented window leading into the title bar. I think they should do that for all the Aqua windows (obviously not the brushed ones).

Overall I prefer the tiger beta but with some aspects from the current version.

[offtopic] I've been thinking, what are people gonna do who use Dreamweaver on a Mac when Dashboard comes out, cos the 'Preview in Browser' command, one of the most important, uses F12 as the hotkey, the very same hotkey for Dashboard... o.0 [/offtopic]
