Aqua-Soft ForumsI just went on the mac site adn saw that quicktime preview of os x tiger, and i was just like "WTF" what the hell is w/ that style... i mean i expected it to be with those 2 blue buttons in the taskbar... but what i saw was a blue apple and a strange spotlight icon, so i'm kinda confused right now... take a look http://www.apple.com/macosx/tiger/spotlight.html

neither did i, but i think its time for a change, cause they had that same color apple there for what, like 5 generations already, what confuased me is the fact that on that thing in paris, where they presented tiger and all the other new things, the tiger in teh preview had teh blue buttons, so i just dont know what to thing, is that blue-button-less style permanent, or will there be an option to like switch between the styles...
that apple isnt the aqua apple, it's the same style as the spotlight icon, and wow, it sucks, hope they switch to something else, I acctully liked the two blue buttons...
The Tiger Style may be starting to look like XP but you gotta check out the Dashbard vid on the apple site!
no, xp isnt anything like it, it's an ok style, becouse it's simple, but it's the way it's done I dont like, they look so alone on the taskbar, and they arnt the same style, sort of, well, I dont like it, hope they chage it....

id like to see a new object bar skin based on the new tiger previews. i like that shade of blue they used for the apple and the spotlite icon.

the mail app buttons almost look graphite, maybe theres an aqua version too?
The new plastic look doesn't match the brushed and normal Aqua look, it's becoming messy. Mac OS X doesn't have a taskbar but a menubar and iMail doesn't exists either: It's just Mail.
Yep, apple has losts its aqua ways, hell I could do a better job at updating aqua than their team :/.
Mail looks so retarded, so much wasted space, crappy ass buttons/toolbar, just junk, same with the system pref. window, ugly as can be, (looks like they are going for the longhorn look). And the finder bar, what crap! ugly ass apple, ugly ass spotlight icon

same here man. and have you seen the new dashboard vid? they changes ALOT of features. like what is an icon for dash doing in the dock?
Take it easy dude.. You can remove that icon from the dock and just use F12 instead.
This thread is exactly the same as when Panther was in beta stages, everyone hated the Panther look but almost everyone ended up lovin' it

well tiger went from the current panther type thingie, to the blue caps with the straight horizontal gloss to the graphite caps with the curved gloss and now the smoother gradients with a glossy menubar. personally i like the new caps, but i don't like the glossy menu bar. and they should keep the toolbar for mail and get rid of those weird graphite gel buttons and change the gradients in the message to match your appearance style (blue/graphite), but who knows. they've changed so many styles already...who's to stop them from changing to another style?
that new stoplight icon they made is simply pathetic, it looks like it was just pasted onto the bar, cause it doesnt fit anything at all

but i must say i'm rather enjoying the new aqua style, because now the bar actually blends into the windows instead of just being on top, hopefuly someone will make one like that for windows blinds
XP-01, i didn't prefer panther over jaguar when it came out, but thats not to say i disliked it. This piece of **** shows that apple has completly fallen off its rocker.
