First iMac mini is 499, 1.25GHZ G4, 60GB drive
Second iMac mini is 599, 1.42GHZ G4, 80GB drive, combo drive
Both are 256 of ram, i think.
would be nice to include a superdrive or an upgrade. Any word on this?
not bad.. now im thinkin of gettin this mini mac instead of iMacG5 hehe for me this mini is affordable

That's it! Im getting a Mac! ... Im have a SFF PC, and getting a small Mac would suite me perfectly.
I think ill start saving up right away.

Looks fantastic. Shame about the gfx card. Think I'll save the extra and go for an iMac 20" with Edu discount.
The UK store is still alive unlike the US one... must be getting hammered. £339 in the UK (starting) so not bad at all.

Apple still has their options way overpriced though.
A fully loaded top of the line mini will cost you $1352.00. That's not a deal at all.
I can get a really nice eMac or iMac for less than that. And they include a display!
Or a even nicely equiped iBook.
Apple screws up yet another good idea.
When add-ons cost more than the core product, it's pure greed.
I understand the need for profits, but come on.
I mean 1 memory stick is only $74 less than the ENTIRE mini!!! Let's get real here folks.

If you are one of those end users who doesnt need the max of every single spec, and already own a pc you want to change, with a monitor and kb and mouse... trust me, mac mini looks good to you...
People seem to forget that products are not made with themselves in mind, but with a market, consider it an averaged, compromised view of each individual... very basic...
If there was only a little room for upgrading - I would have one sitting underneath my TV by the weekend.

I just got my Powermac, but I think I'm gonna throw my PC away, and buy one of those wonderful little box....
Even if this mini mac isn't a beast of power, it'll be perfect for my internet use.... And I must say, that once you taste OSX, you can go back to win....

From here on forth, "Mac Mini" and "iPod mini" will now be referred to as "miniMac" and "miniPod" respectively.
The design of the miniMac is beautiful. You get the elegance of a highend Apple products and the lower end. This may be my first Mac, if I get the money.
I am skeptical on the iPod shuffle. I knew Apple would eventualy head into the solid state memory music players. I am OK with the memory pen shape, I just don't like the controls. They seem too Gen 1 and 2 iPod like. I would like to see an upgrade to looks similar to the current iPods. But it is a nice addition to the iPod family. The Autofill is still a little confusing to me though.
Already Purchased the 1.42GHz with some options. Now just the wait til shipping and recieving.
A great value for what you get. This is go along with my Apple Cube and my Powermac.
Performace of the video may be limited. Can't wait to crack it open and see if the Video is a card or mini-pci, which may be upgradable with a little work. Hell I got a 9800 in my cube with a little time and adjustments.
Just hope its not like a notebook, with the graphics cpu integrated!!
