Ditto on Baghira...try kxdocker (latest version decent) or ksmoothdock. I found kxdocker runs smoother, but the configuration is a little bit difficult.

Baghira is one of the coolest aqua theme for KDE ever, but I wonder if there is an equivalent for Gnome?

Gnome has got many wonderful gtk themes.
Most stuff that I've found for themes and icons is on either www.kde-look.org or www.gnome-look.org and using the search function for os x, panther, jaguar, related keywords or sorting results for themes by the most downloads or highest rating. I have a set of icons that will work for KDE that I've been adding to if anyone is interested, I could post it when I think it's a little bit more complete.
I'm yet to see a truly convincing panther job on linux, nothing that comes close to what has been done on windows at least.
I would say making sure you have Xorg with the Xcomposite extension for shadows goes a long way to adding the feel to it.

True, there isn't anything that comes close to the Windows ports, but you really shouldn't knock something that you cannot better yourself (unless you can).
yes, I know there is some beautiful GTK themes for Gnome it's just I haven't heard of a panther or tiger port for Gnome

i found a good jaguar base, i just need some ressources from popular mac themes (kamino (popular for me ) panther, milk ...)
iceWM seems to support anti alpha blended corners. gotta reboot on nix.
