@dreamz: are there any security issues with using a hacked/optimised version of firefox? like stealing passwords etc...

nope, there shouldn't be. it's the same code with added switches for processor-specific optimizations.

check it out: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=42

Yes I just try moox's too.. work nicely with all my extension (Don't test it with TBE though)

Just go to www.moox.ws and find out your flavour...

72-18?!

wow, that was a long time ago.. isn't it now 95-2, the other way around though?

#227769

it has a "nice" "feature" (?) where it uses 100% of the CPU... nice... thanks...

it's just peachy on my system. perhaps try a clean installation or an optimized build. :)

#227787

i think it`s a matter of clean install.

i`ve seen few of these kinds of complaints and they were all fixed with a clean install.

#227793

I installed it over 0.10.1 (1.0PR) and it runs just fine.

#227796

i have to admit i used ie over mozilla but now i refuse to use ie ever again and if i get access to someone's computer i immediatally (with permission) install firefox :-)

#227797

I hate to be like this, but I tried Firefox (Mac) for today after being with the newest OmniWeb for a while and it just doesn't compete. I'd love to be googly-eyed over Firefox again, but I just can't. :(

#227860

ummm

well since ur on a Mac u have a bit better choice than us stuck on Win.

Plus i don`t see the point of u comig to tell us u like OmniWeb in a FF thread :/

You need to used tab extensions. follow on hills website... success

#227977

doesn't install ???

#227978

TBE is not 1.0 compatible (yet)

#227987

It's 1.0 compatible now.

Now, though, I have a new problem.

The 1.0 Pre-release was super-slow, but this is super-fast. Now, I realize why: the skin. I skinned 1.0 PR with hill's mod, but I haven't changed this skin yet. And the difference is amazing, especially with tab loading.

I hate to say this, but, especially with my browser, I would have to go with speed over substance. Especially considering the way I use tabs when I'm at A-S.

So, I'm not complaining, I actually wanted to ask: is there a middle ground? All I really want to change is the left close-box for each tab, and the toolbar/closetab icons.

Anyone know of anything?

Thanks very much,

-NC
