and about the release date (someone asked me about it):
i was hoping for halloween, but i dont know. i am not going to do a full system set at the time, just drives and icons. (meaning that it would be possible for halloween). so for now, lets say halloween for the drives and icons, and the rest (if there are others) maybe before christmas. who knows.

yeah they're nice, but look *way* too similar to glide's and sasche hohne's work. i expected lou would try being more original after the last debacle.

You have lots of talent... and you are young... but you need to understand that you simply cant do what you are doing. It is disrespectful to the author of minium, no matter how much the said author may be drawing things out.. you just cant use his work to create a darker version of his icons and post a preview without at least asking him first.
Look at your preview and his and you honestly tell me the two arent related if not basically identical save for a few additions. This is not meant as flamebait.. so please no one respond to me either way. I simply want Lou to understand that everyone needs to have ethics and respect. I dont know what else to say. I would have thought you learned after the last issue. Lou, save youreself the trouble and make something original. You are definitely talented enough to do so. Good luck and take care..

Yes, I used the same size and shape, because I liked the size and shape as it similarly matched the angle of OS X's drive icons. Let me show you what I did.

Do I really need to say more? This is kind of like a variant of Minium, but it is completely my own. I created it all by myself. And thanks to those saying I have talent.
Guys, think about it right now okay? If no one ever modded, changed, or was inspired by another persons work, this community would not be here. I'm not talking about Ae-s or A-s or even Neowin. I'm talking about the whole deal. Customizing computers. Think. When the first guy looked at MSSTYLES and changed images, when someone changed the images inside programs, when someone changed values and buttons and everything else we do, customizing computers was born. When you criticize someone, it isn't doing good to me or the community. I can't threaten to leave, no one would care.
What I am saying is that some of you need to take a lean back, and think about what you are posting before you hit the button. Think of what you are commenting on.
Can't you just say something nice, or not say it at all? Is it really that hard to ask? Is it really that hard to do?
If you have a problem, VB has this feature, its called "Private Messaging". I don't think boards use it as much as they should.
You can't call something a rip if it hasn't been released. So stop calling it a rip, and suggest I change something or do something different instead of saying "RIP RIP! YOUR AN F-ING RIPPER YOU!!!" because that does no good but to start something. And if you want to start something, save it and go to your room and scream in your pillow. No use in screaming and yelling at people here. Really.

I didn't even say "OMG! I'm going to release these, and Sascha is going to be mad!!!" You don't even know. I could be planning to ask permission before releasing. You don't even know. Stop making accusations, and go do something else that's fun. Like paintballing...or something...
