Hey everyone, it's me Evolution. I had to re-register because of the board change since my old email was runasoft@runasoft.com and the .com domain was stolen so I do not have access to that email anymore. If one of the mods would like to help me out, I'd much appreciate it. My new email is runasoft@runasoft.net.
I have a new little program for you all to play with. I'm sure every iTunes user would like to skin there iTunes window. Well, here is your chance for a new look.
I created this program today to simply show the progress I have made when it comes to skinning iTunes.
Applying the skin is a very simple process and I will explain it here in just a bit. First, I must let you all know whats going on.
What you will be downloading is a program which interacts with a Skin file. The skin file contains the extension ".iskin". The program will load the Skin file which in turn will skin iTunes.
Now, creation of the skin file can currently only be created by me, that is until I release the iTunes Skin Creator. This will allow anyone with basic graphics knowledge to create a skin file to distribute amongst all iTunes users.
Anyhow, I'm sure you all are getting bored with this.
Please note: This program is for iTunes version 4.6.0.15. Compatibility with other versions is unknown and very unlikely. Use this program at your own risk. I will not claim any responsibility for problems that my program may cause to your iTunes installation.
Instructions:
1. Download the program here. http://www.runasoft.net/iTunes/iTunes_Skinner.zip
2. Download the skin file here. http://www.runasoft.net/iTunes/skins/Dark.zip
3. Unzip both the program "iTunes_Skinner.zip" and the skin file "Dark.zip"
4. Run the program you just unzipped, the file name is "iTunes Skinner.exe"
5. The program should automatically display your iTunes.exe location, if it does not, simply click the button entitled "..." and choose the iTunes.exe location.
6. Choose the Skin file you just unzipped by clicking the button entitled "..." under the "Skin File Path" section.
7. Click the button entitled "Skin It". Make sure and close iTunes before continuing or you'll get an error message.
8. That's it, simply run iTunes and enjoy your new skin.
If you do not like the skin or something happens where iTunes does not load and crashes, simply reopen the iTunes Skinner program and click the button entitled "Restore Backup".
